There's no denying that last year's Assassin's Creed film was a massive disappointment. With a production budget of $125M it was only able to pull in $240M worldwide. Fans and critics collectively called it yet another video-game movie that didn't do justice to the source material. But it looks like Ubisoft still has high hopes for the future of its biggest series in the film industry.

During the recent AMA on Reddit, Assassin's Creed Head of Content, Ymar Azaiza revealed that Ubisoft is fond of producing a TV series set in the universe of Assassin's and Templars. "We will take our time to get sure we deliver something we can be proud of”, Azaiza said on the topic.

Back in 2016, Yves Guillemot, the head of French games developer mentioned on the annual shareholders meeting that his company was negotiating with Netflix for a new series. There's a big change that this series could be Assassin's Creed, but no public announcement has been made yet.

Do you think that Assassin's Creed series deserves a second chance on television? Or maybe it should stay in movie theatres? Be sure to leave your thoughts down below!
