Composer: A film score (also sometimes called film music, background music, or incidental music) is original music written specifically to accompany a film. The score forms part of the film's soundtrack, which also usually includes dialogue and sound effects, and comprises a number of orchestral, instrumental or choral pieces called cues which are timed to begin and end at specific points during the film in order to enhance the dramatic narrative and the emotional impact of the scene in question.

Junkie XL [Notable Works: Mad Max Fury Road, Deadpool, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice]: He is a fantastic composer whose music is both catchy and energetic. He has shown massive ability to communicate with audiences and develop a language through his scores. It’s just flat out exciting the idea of him composing the music for a Mortal Kombat Trilogy.

Screenwriters: A screenplay or script is a written work by screenwriters for a film, video game or television program. These screenplays can be original works or adaptations from existing pieces of writing. In them, the movement, actions, expression, and dialogues of the characters are also narrated. A play for television is also known as a teleplay.

Rhett Reese& Paul Wernick [Notable Works: Zombieland, G.I. Joe Retaliation, Deadpool]: Reese and Wernick delivered a script that lead to the highest grossing R Rated film of all time. They never left the project and stayed with it with undying passion. There’s no doubt in my mind that if they could carry that passion with Mortal Kombat they would be able to give us a proper story for the franchise and deliver something wholley unique that no other writers could come up with. They are fantastic at balancing humor, action, and excitement. There are really no other writers I would want to see tackle this amazing franchise and I doubt there is any other writer who could put as much heart and soul into the story as Reese and Wernick.

The Mortal Kombat Part 1: Earthrealm

Time has come. Lord Raiden, God of Thunder, and his elite team of Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, and Ninja Sub-Zero will battle the forces of Shang Tsung in a tournament that holds the fate of our planet in the balance. It will be a challenge of wills and a battle of fates in this adaptation of the hit video game series.

Director: A film director is a person who directs the making of a film. Generally, a film director controls a film's artistic and dramatic aspects, and visualizes the script while guiding the technical crew and actors in the fulfillment of that vision. The director has a key role in choosing the cast members, production design, and the creative aspects of filmmaking.

RZA [Notable Works: The Man With The Iron Fist, Iron Fist {T.V. Series Episode “Immortal Emerges From Cave”}, Coco {Forthcoming}]: I actually really dig RZA’s work. The Man With The Iron Fist isn’t a masterpiece of cinema but it is a fun movie. I loved his episode of Iron Fist and it stands as my favorite episode of the Series. I think RZA has talent as a director and I think with a script by Wernick and Reese and with his passion, he could actually do something entirely unique and visionary for a Mortal Kombat Movie. It would be a great stepping stone working off a genre he has a little bit of familiarity with and he could certainly have fun with it. He would certainly be better than what Paul W.S. Anderson.

The Mortal Kombat Part 2: Outworld

After losing the battle for Earth, Shang Tsung escaped to outworld, taking Johnny Cage with him. This forces Raiden to plead to the Elder Gods for help, only to be told that he and his team must travel to outworld and compete in a Mortal Kombat to win back the life of Johnny Cage and close the gates to Outworld forever.

James Wan [Notable Works: Saw, The Conjuring, Aquaman {Forthcoming}]: Currently only onboard as a Producer, James is a director that I think every fan wants to see actually take the reins and do something with it. With an utterly remarkable filmography, few directors would be better place to take on such an epic project. He’s got a unique style and wonderful visuals that would really allow him to take the most unique parts of Mortal Kombat and really exaggerate and develop them into what would be the greatest video game adaptation of all time.

Mortal Kombat Part 3: War

The Death of Shao Kahn has opened way for the resurrection of Shinnok. An Elder God of death and destruction who is bent on taking over all 9 Realms. Raiden and his team will have to battle in the most dangerous War they have ever encountered as they face new threats created from old enemies and fight against a God with numerous power beyond even Raiden.

Justin Lin [Notable Works: Fast Five, Fast & Furious 6, Star Trek Beyond]: Justin is a director who gets the unique connection of a family aspect in an action movie. Fast and Furious might not be Shakespeare but fans of that franchise care about those characters and that’s in no small part thanks to Justin Lin. He then changes to sci-fi being able to flawlessly develop a Roddenbury-esq Star Trek Sequel. There is no doubt a Mortal Kombat Movie would be a challenge to Lin, but he would be able to adapt and execute it wonderfully making it a fantastic video game adaptation.

Liu Kang [Height: 5’ 10”, Age: 30’s]: Trained his whole life by the White Lotus Shaolin Temple. Based in China Liu was their chosen warrior to compete in the Mortal Kombat, believed by the temple to be the “One Who Would Stop The Dragon and Tame the Hurricane of Souls” He is the direct descendant of The Great Kung Lao. He is wary of his destiny and doubts himself but proves to be a fierce warrior, placing his honor and friends above all.

Steven Yeun [Height: 5’ 9”, Age: 33, Notable Works: I, Origins, The Walking Dead, Mayhem]: Steven is a Fantastic and Unique actor. I know He’s an odd choice but it’s that Odd sense that I would want to translate into the character. Steven is fantastic at playing normal every-day people and I think that quality could be brought to Liu Kang. He’s really amazing and could be fantastic as Liu Kang.

Johnny Cage [Height: 6’ 0”, Age: 30’s]: Hollywood actor, he was born John Carlton and was orphaned at a young age. He was raised by Martial Arts Enthusiast who took Johnny around the world where he won numerous prestigious medals as well as even Gold Medals at the Olympics (Judo and Taekwondo.) Once his fame was capture Johnny sought fame through his only escape, Films. As a film star he did numerous fights scenes and stunts that was thought to be digitally enhance, these criticisms annoyed Johnny and un-balanced his Chi. He was approached by a man to enter a Kumite Death Battle known as “The Mortal Kombat” on Tobaioni Island.

Boyd Holbrook [Height: 6’ 2”, Age: 35, Notable Works: Narcos, Jane Got A Gun, Logan]: Boyd is one of my new favorite actors. He’s got a natural charisma that when it came down to casting Johnny Cage, Boyd was the only one that could have the ego, the looks, and balance it so naturally. I think Boyd is fantastic and could be the absolute perfect on screen Johnny Cage. He’s got the charm and body for it and the talent to make you really like the character. There’s no doubt he would be absolutely perfect in the role.

Lt. Sonya Blade [Height: 5’ 8”, Age: 30’s]: Manipulated into fighting in the Mortal Kombat after her team as captured by Shang Tsung’s Mercenary Kano. She is dedicated to bring down Shang Tsung and Kano, the latter for his heroin trade spreading out internationally. Sonya is a very stern person who grew up in a family that resented her desires for military greatness, with her father wanting to relegate her to a “Soldier’s Wife.”

Scarlett Johansson [Height: 5’ 3”, Age: 32, Notable Works: Marvel’s Avengers, Lucy, Ghost In The Shell]: Scarlett is one of the few, if not only, name who can be attatched to a project and get a certain set of control on the Filmmakers side. She’s a wonderful actress and there is absolutely no doubt in anyone’s mind that she would be perfect for Sonya. I understand some people want a more Martial Artsy actress but Scarlett has done roles imbedded in Martial Arts skill and has won audiences over. She is absolutely the right person to get for Sonya. She has the charm and the talent to be the Sonya Blade of the games and her involvement could get the film made.

Raiden [Height: 5’ 8”, Age: N/A]: The God of Thunder, Raiden is the sworn defender of Earthrelm and should any harm come to it, it is his duty to stop it. He represents the Earthrelm at the Mortal Kombat with his delegate of fighters from Earth, being forbidden from keeping his immortality in the tournament. He is a wise being with a sense of humor often carrying a deadpan delivery.

Hoon Lee [Height: 5’ 7” {Estimated}, Age: 44, Notable Works: Banshee {T.V. Series}, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles {Animated Series}, Iron Fist {T.V. Series}]: With his work as Splinter, and his work as Lei Kung in Iron Fist, Hoon Lee as shown amazing talent as an actor. With a deep and clear voice that illustrates a sense of otherworldly knowledge, he has become my prime choice for Raiden. It’s a role that would really give him new ground to play with and cover some new ground as an actor.

Bo’Rai Cho [Height: 5’ 10”, Age: 60’s]: Headmaster of the White Lotus Shaolin Temple. Bo’Rai Cho is master of the Drunken Fist. He is a long-time friend of Raiden who perhaps knows the elder god on a deeper level than he would like to admit. Bo’Rai Cho is a wise and often care free spirit, finding trouble in those who need peace and offering it to them.

Jackie Chan [Height: 5’ 9”, Age: 62, Notable Works: Rumble in the Bronx, Police Story, Who Am I?]: Jackie is an absolute legend. There’s no doubt people have wanted to see Jackie cross into the realm of a Rated R movie and most attempts have been terrible as they have wanted Jackie to turn evil, going against his long-standing tradition of playing a good guy. This allows him to continue that tradition and even play a character well within his realm of characters, he has already shown proficiency in the style of Drunken Fist through a film titled “Drunken Master” There’s no doubt he would be someone production could rally behind as a person of influence and encouragement.

Cpt. Jackson “Jax” Briggs [Height: 6’ 3”, Age: 30’s-40’s]: Jackson Briggs was a career military officer, often rising fast through the ranks and showing massive promise in the marines. Sometime in the mid-2000’s he was honorably discharged and assigned to a secret government organization dedicated to the apprehension of world renown terrorist. He dedicates his work to taking down a group known as The Black Dragon. He is later given Cybernetic Enhancements with two Robotic Arms after having his arms blown off in a Battle against Shao Kahn’s forces.

Demetrius Grosse [Height: 6' 2", Age: 36, Notable Works: 13 Hours, Banshee {T.V. Series}, Straight Outta Compton]: Demetrius is a fantastic actor with a big frame and a deep voice. He has really all the physical conditions needed for Jax, even better he’s a strong and well ranged actor. He really has the charm and attitude that makes for a perfect Jax. He is without a doubt a perfect choice for Jax.

Princess Kitana [Height: 5’ 9”, Age: N/A]: Despite being Thousands of Years Old she is considered young in her society. When she was still a young child, her world was taken over by the war lord known as Shao Kahn. He raised Kitana from there on out, attempting to corrupt her and later turning her into his favorite Lieutenant.  She has slowly built an inner resistance in outworld, but needs the help of Earthrealm in destroying him.

Jessica Henwick [Height: 5’ 6”, Age: 24, Notable Works: Game of Thrones {T.V. Series}, Iron Fist {T.V. Series}, Dragonfly]: Jessica is a fantastic actress who I’ve first seen in Iron Fist. I saw a lot of layers and a lot of parallels with her Colleen Wing and my take on Kitana. I think she has a lot of heart for her performances and I really can’t imagine her being anything short of perfect for Kitana.

Takahashi Kenshi [Height: 6’ 0”, Age: N/A]: Blinded as a Child by Shang Tsung, Kenshi has wondered the earth with the knowledge of otherworldly power existing. He has used this to dedicate his life to protecting Earthrealm, training as the world’s deadliest ninja. He finds his chance when Raiden recruits him to join the Mortal Kombat in Outworld to defeat Shao Kahn once and for all.

Daniel Wu [Height: 6’ 0”, Age: 42, Notable Works: Into the Badlands {T.V. Series}, Warcraft, New Police Story]: Daniel is a fantastic actor. His work in Into the Badlands is phenomenal and really has the energy and spirit I imagine would be perfect for Kenshi. I think he has all the right attributes as an actor and the challenge of doing a blind character could be something to give him a challenge.

Bi-Han/Sub-Zero [Height: 6’ 0”, Age: 40’s]: Suffering from guilt after the cowardly attack on the Shi-Ri Ryu, Bi-Han plans to leave the Lin Kuei feeling the organization has lost all sense of honor. To this he takes a contract from a mysterious party for the head of Shang Tsung. He joins the Mortal Kombat, using his cryomancer abilities intending to kill the sorcerer and run from the Lin Kuei.

Rick Yune [Height: 6’ 0”, Age: 45, Notable Works: Die Another Day, Ninja Assassin, Olympus Has Fallen]: Rick is one of my favorite underrated actors. I’ve seen him play numerous villains but never really got to see him play someone on the path to redemption. I think he’s a fantastic actor that could really transform in a role like that. I think he could properly honor the role of Sub-Zero the way fans have always wanted.

Kuai Liang/Tundra/Sub-Zero [Height: 5’ 10”, Age: 40’s]: The Adopted brother of Bi-Han, Kuai showed the same cryomancer abilities as his elder brother. The two often worked in teams but when it is discovered Bi-Han has fallen, Kuai decides to go to outworld and confront Shang Tsung of his brother’s death. This causes him to join Earthrealm in efforts to save his home and get revenge for his brother.

Brian Tee [Height: 5’ 11”, Age; 40, Notable Works: The Fast and the Furios: Tokyo Drift, The Wolverine, Jurassic World]: Really for this role, Brian was my only choice. I find him to be a terrific actor and I think he really has an onscreen presence that could lend itself to the role. He’s fantastic at playing intimidating but I think he would be a spectacular good guy, and Tundra is that role for him.

Hanzo Hasashi/Scorpion [Height: 5’ 11”, Age: 40’s]: Leader of the fallen Shi-Ri Ryu Ninja clan, Hanzo had bartered with Outworld Sorcerers Quan Chi and Shang Tsung, having his body restored with otherworldly abilities in exchange for their service. He Joins the Mortal Kombat on the condition of killing Sub-Zero. When hearing of another Sub-Zero he accuses Quan Chi of attempting to break their deal and sets out to find his own path, battling all over the world to destroy Quan Chi, then the Lin Kuei.

Lee Byung-Hun [Height: 5’ 10”, Age: 46, Notable Works: G.I. Joe {Franchise}, I Saw The Devil, The Magnificent Seven]: There was no one else I could even consider for this role. I love Lee’s work, he’s an excellent actor with a cold and steely resolve that really made me think he’s the only person who could be Scorpion. His Storm Shadow was the highlight of both G.I. Joe movies and his work in Asian Cinema has made him an amazing actor. He is the perfect choice for Scorpion.

Kano [Height: 5’ 10”, Age: 40’s]: Leader of the Black Dragon Gang, Kano travelled the world learning the hard knocks of life early on. Having been relegated to Pit Fighting to stay alive. Kano grew popularity as a dangerous pit fighter eventually developing his own gang from these misfits. Once he was a leader he began taking territory all over the world and enhancing himself to make him a uniquely dangerous opponent. He holds a Rivalry with Sonya Blade, who’s family (Parents and a Sister) were slaughtered by Kano when she took the Black Dragon case.

Frank Grillo [Height: 5’ 10”, Age: 51, Notable Works: Captain America: Winter Soldiers, Purge: Anarchy, The Grey]: If anything, this choice is entirely inspired by his work as Brock Rumlow. Frank is a fantastic actor who plays monsters like this better than any actor. I think Kano would be a more unique take on this template and allow him to have a little bit more fun as an actor.

Syzoth/Reptile [Height: 6’ 0”, Age: N/A]: The Last of his race, Reptile is a living monster, serving Shao Kahn in hopes of his race being restored. He is an animalistic being by nature and relishes in the pain of others.

Joseph Gilgun [Height: 6’ 0”, Age: 33, Notable Works: Misfits {T.V. Series}, Lockout, Preacher {T.V. Series}]: Gilgun is one of my favorite actors and I was delighted to see him in Preacher. He’s shown a massive amount of talent and fun in his work. I think he’s a fun and fantastic actor that has a wide range. I think he could certainly play the more animalistic nature of Reptile and make it a fully developed character.

Prince Goro [Height: 8’ 2”, Age: N/A]: The monstrous Shokan is a Royal member of the race that had killed his brother for his place as the future king. Goro’s massive size and extra arms give him a massive advantage over the other fighters. Goro is massively cocky, having been responsible for 9 victories of Mortal Kombat for outworld.

Kevin Durand [Height: 6’ 6”, Age: 43, Notable Works: Walking Tall, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, The Strain {T.V. Series}]: Kevin is a fantastic actor. He has more talent than many would give him credit. Playing Goro would require mo-cap but also requires an express actor who can create a fully fleshed person and I think Durand would be able to do that and make Goro an immersive character.

Shang Tsung [Height: 6’ 0”, Age: N/A]: Sorcerer of outworld, Shang Tsung is a deadly figure in Shao Kahn’s elite table. He has been leading the charge for Outworld to take over Earthrealm. He is manipulative and cunning; his fighting skills are unquestionably extraordinary. When he fails, he kidnaps a member of Earthrealm, forcing a “Do-Over” Mortal Kombat to be held in outworld, giving him and his master an advantage.

Tohoru Masamune [Height: 6’ 0” {Estimated}, Age: 50’s {Estimated} Notable Works: 24 {T.V. Series}, Inception, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles]: Tohoru is actually a cunning and endearing actor. He has a unique sense about him and has a rough history of Martial arts, having trained with swords and bo-staffs. He is a great actor that can get the presence and the overall intimidating factor that Shang Tsung commands. Tohoru would be Shang Tsung incarnate!

Baraka [Height: 6’ 4”, Age: N/A]: A Near mindless monster sworn to the servitude of Shao Kahn. Baraka is a member of the enslaved tarkatan race. He is a monster with no regards to other’s life except his and his master. He is one Shao Kahn finds to be most trustworthy as Baraka has shown proficient talent, especially with his arm blades. Baraka is nothing short of a Monster.

Spencer Wilding [Height: 6’ 7”, Age: 44, Notable Works: Guardians of the Galaxy, Victor Frankenstein, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story]: Spencer is a big guy who can play his part well. His acting is more of the variety of body language and in that, he does well. He’s got size and has a few high-profile roles under his belt. His intimidating size and his dominating movements make him a prime choice for Baraka.

Princess Mileena [Height: 5’ 9”, Age: N/A]: The True Daughter of Shao Kahn, Mileena was crafted by the magic of Shang Tsung after Kitana had defected to Earthrealm. Using Shao Kahn, Kitana’s and her royal bodyguard, Baraka’s, DNA Mileena is the daughter Shao Kahn had always wished Kitana would be. A vicious but loyal killer with an appetite for cannibalism.

Karen Fukuhara [Height: 5’ 2”, Age: 25, Notable Works: Suicide Squad, Stray]: While she doesn’t have much to her credit as an actress, she has shown some promise. With a role like Mileena, it would give Karen some room to try out different things and make the role her own. She’s a fantastic actress and could certainly take some chances as the half Tarkatan Killer, playing an evil badass than her role as Kitana in Suicide Squad.

Queen Sindel [Height: 5’ 6”, Age: N/A]: Well over Ten Thousand years old Sindel was Queen of the former outworld, when it was known as Edenia. When Shao Kahn invaded her realm, he had slain her husband and viciously victimized Sindel. After this occurrence he took 500 years to torture her into being the insane queen that served Shao Kahn’s every wish.

Kelly Hu [Height: 5’ 5”, Age: 49, Notable Works: X2: X-Men United, Scorpion King, Arrow {T.V. Series}]: I have been a fan of Kelly for over a decade. I have always found her to be an engaging and wonderful actress. When I came to the pattern of casting her family the way I had, I decided to insert Kelly as Sindel as she felt like the best candidate and would certainly play it earnestly and have a lot of fun in it. She would be absolutely wonderful as Sindel.

Emperor Shao Kahn [Height: 6’ 4”, Age: N/A]: Emperor of outworld. Fueled by his dedication to the Elder God Shinnok who had unlocked the powers beyond Realms that made Shao Kahn the most Powerful mortal. He is a remorseless killer with absolutely no care for anyone or anything outside of conquering new Realms.

Jason Momoa [Height: 6’ 4”, Age: 34, Notable Works: Game of Thrones {T.V. Series}, Conan The Barbarian, Frontier {T.V. Series}]: I wasn’t always a Jason Momoa fan, but he did grow on me rather fast. I find him to be an intimidating actor with a wonderful skill set and a strong ability to look powerful. He’s certainly the type of figure I would love to see play Shao Kahn. He’s got the size and the Intimidating presence that would make him a Perfect Shao Kahn.

Noob Saibot [Height: 6’ 0”, Age: N/A]: The Resurrected Slave of Shinnok. Noob was once Sub-Zero, but now has found new purpose in the soulless killer. His mind is without the guilt and pain that plagued Bi-Han turning Noob Saibot into the perfect killer and the perfect version of Bi-Han.

Rick Yune [Height: 6’ 0”, Age: 45, Notable Works: Die Another Day, Ninja Assassin, Olympus Has Fallen]: If Rick Yune is playing Bi-Han then he has to be Noob Saibot. I think he is perfect for both roles. He’s played darker character and would be perfect as the inhuman Noob Saibot.

Ermac [Height:6’ 0”, Age: N/A]: After being Killed by Shao Kahn for his treachery, the collection of Souls scattered but where collected by the sorcerer Quan Chi. He brought these collections of souls to the Elder God Shinnok who gave it a new form, and a new name. The once great Shang Tsung became the Legion of Souls known as Ermac. He had his memories, but with the power given to him by Shinnok he relished his new identity as the living collection of souls.

Tohoru Masamune [Height: 6’ 0” {Estimated}, Age: 50’s {Estimated} Notable Works: 24 {T.V. Series}, Inception, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles]: Tohoru is a master of acting. And I wanted a much simpler origin for the Ermac character without it seeming convoluted and confusing. Not to mention Tohoru is a wonderful actor with more than enough ability to play this separately from Shang Tsung and make it feel like a living and unique character.

Quan Chi [Height: 6’ 0”, Age: N/A]: The Servant of Shinnok. Quan Chi is a manipulative Sorcerer who had used Shao Kahn’s death to resurrect the Elder God of Death and Destruction. He is trapped to forever serve his lord and Master and will certainly do it to the best of his ability. With formidable talents as a fighter and with magic, he is not to be trifled with.

Jonny Lee Miller [Height: 5’ 11”, Age: 44, Notable Works: Hackers, Trainspotting, Elementary {T.V. Series}]: Jonny is a fantastic actor with such a unique and eccentric energy. He’s done some amazing work and has had many odd performances that worked so well. I think he is a natural fit for Quan Chi. He’s a strong actor and would certainly be perfect as Quan Chi.

Shinnok [Height: 6’ 0”, Age: N/A]: The Elder God of Destruction Reborn. He seeks to control all the realms and destroy his fellow brothers and sisters. He is an elitest at heart and sees all other beings as beneath him. His alliances all stem from his desire to rule, seeing his allies as slaves than friends.

Mads Mikkelsen [Height: 6’ 0”, Age: 51, Notable Works: Hannibal {T.V. Series}, Doctor Strange, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story]: This seemed like a natural and obvious choice. Mads is a legendary actor and his work is always fantastic. He has an energy to him that makes him absolutely unique and wonderful in his performances. If being the haunted and terrifying Hannibal Lecter isn’t enough, he’s followed that up with the insane religious zealot known as Kaecilius. There is no doubt he would be perfect as Shinnok.

Now this is a jaw-dropping good cast. I have not seen the 1994 original, but a I would see these.

Another amazing and detailed cast. When I see your name I know that's what we're getting and again this deserves to be on main.
I agree with each choice and all well reasoned.

Very good casting.

- Well, as I told you before, my take on a Mortal Kombat movie series would play out like the 2011 game where the events of the first three games would be covered in one entire film. I think it would make it truly epic.
- Junkie XL's scores do have an otherworldly feel to them at times. Honestly, quite perfect if you ask me. Maybe I'll cop that choice for my cast!
- Interesting choice of screenwriters!
- I would love to see RZA direct a Mortal Kombat film. No doubt the Wu-Tang Clan's albums were inspired by martial arts, and then there's The Man with the Iron Fists.
- James Wan is no stranger to supernatural and action. Another good choice.
- I think Liu Kang is a little younger. But I'm not against Steven Yeun. If he can learn martial arts, I'd be down with it.
- Never really seen Boyd do anything that would strike me as Johnny Cage. Again, I'm still surprised you wouldn't go with my choice of Glen Powell. But hey, this is your cast!
- Wow, going heavy on star power with ScarJo? I could probably see it working.
- I might pass on Iron Fist based on the abysmal reception it's gotten. But I did hear Hoon Lee's voice in the Nickelodeon TMNT animated series, and it is close to Richard Epcar's voice in MK vs. DC Universe and so forth. I sorta saw Raiden as being taller; never knew where the 5' 8" came from. But okay!
- Okay, now how would Bo' Rai' Cho be introduced here? Because in the games, he was introduced in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, then in Mortal Kombat X. Also, Jackie Chan is a tad too thin to play the character.
- Oh, another Iron Fist star? Jessica sure has the moves, but can she play royalty? But I haven't watched her in Game of Thrones; she probably played a princess in that film.
- I think Into the Badlands will become my next show to get into via Netflix. So far Daniel Wu has the looks.
- Good choices for the Shirai Yu.
- I'll still maintain that Kano should be Australian like he's been portrayed. But if you're doing it based on the earlier portrayals in the 90's, I would be partial to Frank Grillo. Although what do you think of him as MKX-era Johnny Cage?
- You probably know who I'll be casting as Shang Tsung. But the first actor who played Shredder wouldn't be bad!
- Um, I don't think Kitana in Suicide Squad was portrayed as evil, was she? Bear in mind, I haven't seen the film. Still, Karen looks the part, I'll give her that much!
- Bet you didn't know this, but Kelly voiced D'Vorrah in Mortal Kombat X. So she has experience with the series. Not a bad choice for Sindel!
- I no doubt have faith in seeing Jason Momoa kill it as Shao Kahn if cast.
- Great comparison shots of Mads and Shinnok! I agree with this choice as well!

Great cast. You have the right stuff to make Mortal Kombat into an amazing, epic, hard-R film trilogy.

the drunk guy from iron fist would make a good liu kang too, and could probably pull off the martial arts better. I do love steven though. anyway I would watch the [frick] out of this
