Following yesterday's trailer launch, Paramount+ has now shared the first official poster for the long-awaited Halo live-action television series, giving us another look at Master Chief (Pablo Schreiber).
While the poster doesn't reveal much, it's actually quite notable as it depicts Master Chief holding his helmet, which could seemingly suggest that the series will actually show the iconic character's face. This would be quite a bold deviation from the source material, since it is something the games have never done.
The series, which hails from executive producer Steven Spielberg, will star Pablo Schreiber as Master Chief, with a supporting cast consisting of Natascha McElhone as Dr. Catherine Halsey, Yerin Ha as Kwan Ha, Charlie Murphy as Makee, Shabana Azmi as Admiral Margaret Parangosky, Bokeem Woodbine as Soren-066, Olive Gray as Miranda Keyes, Kate Kennedy as Kai-125, Natasha Culzac as Riz-028, Bentley Kalu as Vannak-134, Danny Sapani as Captain Jacob Keyes, and Jen Taylor returning as the voice of Cortana.
While a premiere date hasn't been announced just yet, the series is expected to start streaming in early 2022.
Dramatizing an epic 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant, Halo the series will weave deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure and a richly imagined vision of the future.
