The movie producer company Occupant Entertainment together with the game company Deep Silver, just announced that a movie based on the game Dead Island is on the works. The project, which three years ago was linked to Lionsgate but never got the green light, is already on development.

Shooting is planned to start in the first trimester of 2015. The costs of production will be divided between both companies. Dead Island was an action role-playing survival horror video game developed by the Polish developer Techland and published by German studio Deep Silver.

No release date was announced yet.
