HBO Max has released the official trailer for The Last of Us, their hotly-awaited video game television adaptation, which stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey as Joel and Ellie, respectively.
While fans of the acclaimed 2013 video game certainly know the plot by heart, the upcoming first season will seemingly adapt the entire first season as there are plenty of moments in the trailer that will undoubtedly look familiar.
The supporting cast consists of Gabriel Luna as Tommy, Anna Torv as Tess, Nico Parker as Sarah, Murray Bartlett as Frank, Nick Offerman as Bill, Melanie Lynskey as Kathleen, Storm Reid as Riley, Merle Dandridge as Marlene, Jeffrey Pierce as Perry, Lamar Johnson as Henry, Keivonn Woodard as Sam, Graham Greene as Marlon, and Elaine Miles as Florence.
Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker, who provide the voice and mo-cap for the iconic duo in the acclaimed video game series, will also appear in the live-action series. The trailer reveals that Johnson will portray Ellie's mother Anna, while Baker will play a member of David's gang.
The Last of Us premieres on January 15.
