VIDEO GAMES: GRAND THEFT AUTO V And THE LAST OF US Win Big At Spike's VGX 2013 Awards
Unsurprisingly, 2013's two best games - Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto V and Naughty Dog's The Last of Us - walked away with a lot of the big prizes at Spike's VGX 2013 Awards last night.
Some may call it a predictable choice, but it's hard to argue with the logic of selecting Grand Theft Auto V as the "Game of the Year", despite the fact that it faced off against the likes of BioShock Infinite, Super Mario 3D World, The Last of Us and Tomb Raider in that category. Still, the one game which many thought could take down Rockstar's latest release was The Last of Us, and while it fell slightly short of doing so, the superb release still managed to walk away with awards for "Best PlayStation Game", "Best Studio", and perhaps most deservedly, honours for its superb voice cast.
