The story for Arkham City takes place one year after the events of Arkham Asylum. Quincy Sharp, former warden of Arkham Asylum, has taken credit for stopping the Joker, and used that notoriety to become mayor of Gotham City. As neither Arkham nor Blackgate Prison are in any condition to hold inmates, Sharp buys out a large section of Gotham's slums and arms the perimeter with private military contractors from a group called Tyger in order to create "Arkham City". The prisoners are brought into Arkham City and are given free rein, as long as they do not attempt escape. To oversee the city, Sharp uses psychiatrist Hugo Strange who appears to have his own secret agenda for the city. Batman maintains a vigil over the city, worried that the situation may get out of hand. Part of the setup for "Arkham City" was contained in plans in a hidden room in Sharp's office in Arkham Asylum.

@imnotwearinghockeypants - I really doubt it. Looks good, but it's got a steep mountain to climb to be on the top. And I'm 100% sure the in-game graphics is not gonna look as good as that. Might be better to wait for an actual gameplay footage.

Very excited about this one. The graphics will be great, they were great in the first, they'll only get better.

Nolan's batman sucks? Wow, some people can NEVER be pleased. They could call you up, give you the job and you would trash it. Although, the job would probably require some level of physical activity, so you would have to get off the couch. Not sure if that's possible, but do bring your inhaler.

@protonite - graphics don't really play a factor into being considered a great game!
Zelda Ocarina of Time, still considered one of GOAT, 1999 graphics. Look at games like Castlevania SOTN or Braid. Great games don't need to have great graphics, just great gameplay, great story and nothing ruins a game for me like BAD controls! Tight controls makes all the difference in the world, just recently played Enslaved, had all the makings of a great game, however, the controls were BRUTAL! Played for all of 2 hours and took it back and got Castlevania Lords of Shadow, great decision!

I loved the first game, and this looks even better. But, I still say that if they opened up the sand box a bit and made it more open ended play, choice of missions and when to do them etc, this would be the best game ever made.

Backward, heheh, like it.

@ Ror - totally agree, this one will definitely be better. I'm pretty sure that I read this will play more open and less linear than the first game. It would be awesome if it played like Assassin's Creed (in love with that game right now).

GUNSMITH@ That video proofs that Batman movies should be made like this game!!:)
Batman needs serious fighting skills and not just those lame "Im creating a shell around my head with my hands and wait that bad guys stop kickin´ and punchin´ me so i can kick their ass after that!"
Thats what every nerdy boy including me thinks everytime when big boys kick´s their ass in the school!xD Im 23 so thank god my years as the punchin´ bag are don!:)
Batman needs to be a [frick]ing furious big dude who scare the sh*t in the pants for criminals!
