I have to be honest, Batman: Arkham Asylum didn't get ALL of my votes, but it got most of them for the categories it was up for.

GOTY (Game Of The Year) was a tough one, but I haven't played Uncharted 2 yet, so I had to go with Batman...

Shaman - 12/8/2009, 12:11 PM
Well... my personal GOTY is InFamous. I loved Arkham Asylum but it wasn't as good as InFamous IMO. Which also means that my pic for Studio of the year has to be SuckerPunch. But i'd love for Arkham to get "Best X-Box360 game" even though i don't own one of them ;)

Game i wanna get next is; DARK VOID in Jan.

Voted! On another note, Mark Hamill has been and always will be the voice of Joker, at least to me anyways. :D

LEEE- Darksiders seems a bit better than Dark Void though. And has anybody played Mini Ninjas??? It looks cool but i don't know if i should pay full price for it. Oh and the new Super Mario game on the Wii KICKS MEGA ASS!!! Mario has new moves that make you do pretty much anything you want!!! GREAT GAME :))

Darksiders looks pretty sick. I'm looking forward to that one.

The vertical combat in Dark Void looks cool... It'll be interesting to see what it's like playing it vs watching it...

Me too Nate ;) Hey bud, when's the release date for the God Of War collection? I wanna get it ;)

Oh and like Anil Ricky said, STREET FIGHTER 4 IS GOD!!! :))

I think BAA deserves to win a lot of the awards, but not all of them. Call of Duty MW2 should be game of the year
JoshWilding
JoshWilding - 12/8/2009, 1:31 PM
My game of the year has to be Uncharted 2 (which also deserves 'Best Graphics' IMO!) and if he's nominated then I'd say Nolan North deserves the Best Voice award for his role as Nathan Drake in U2 but I'd be happy for Arkham Asylum to pick up any of those awards or the rest that the game's been nominated for as it was bloody brilliant!

X-Men Origins: Wolverine was a decent enough game as well - the combat system was great!

Best cast personally is MUA2

necrosage2005: You really find the PS3's wireless contollers heavy? I find them much lighter than the PS2's and just make sure to charge mine when I'm not playing! The patches they release sometimes fix problems in games admittedly but they also add new features (for free!) to games a lot of the time! The best part about the PS3 is the system updates that they release have added tons of new features so you have a constantly evolving games console adding new apps like Vidzone (thousands of free music videos to watch) or stores where you can buy/rent movies etc!

Mark Hamill is the best joker we shall ever have.

My personal favorite game of the year was Assassin's Creed 2.

I do think that Batman:AA deserves to win though. It was such a good game.

Honestly thought, GOTY will probably be either Modern Warfare 2 or Uncharted 2.

if you find any of the new console controllers to be too heavy you have the weakest arms ever my six year old cousin plays them with no problem i agree about the 360 controller needing to be charged all the time but the ps3 ones stay charged for a long time and its not that hard to pause a game plug it in then resume playing it does throw you off for a second but if you are at least decent at games it doesnt do anything to how you play

Everyone forget Ultimate Alliance 2???
JoshWilding
JoshWilding - 12/8/2009, 3:33 PM
CRITIC: Cool avatar! (Bioshock 2 right?) I didnt actually enjoy MUA2 all that much to be honest! The graphics in the first game sucked but I actually enjoyed the story and levels in that one!

Guys, dont forget to check out my DEADPOOL Fan Cast under "Fan Fic"!
CRITIC17
CRITIC17 - 12/8/2009, 3:41 PM
@Josh: Yes it is!!!! I Pre-ordered it monthes ago and can't wait for it... I'm going to buy Ultimate Alliance after Christmas and then I'll review it... I thought it looked pretty cool though... I'll check your FanCast right now!!!
TheColonel
TheColonel - 12/8/2009, 3:55 PM
Marvel Ultimate Alliance was ok. There just needs to be more customization options and better graphics avaliable in future games. I can't understand why they didn't go for a more open world game. With something like 5000 marvel characters to choose from this would have been awesome.

So Sayeth The Colonel
CRITIC17
CRITIC17 - 12/8/2009, 4:03 PM
@Colonel: That would be a great idea!!!
JoshWilding
JoshWilding - 12/8/2009, 5:02 PM
CRITIC: I cant wait either! The first game was epic in story and atmosphere! The whole "Would you kindly" thing still sticks in my head, lol! I enjoyed MUA2 but it just feels like it could and should have been better! I'd definitely recommend it though for any comic book fan!

TheColonel: Great idea! I dont know why they trap you in corridors when there's so much more potential especially on systems like the PS3 and 360 which can handle so much more!

CoD: MW2 will probably win every category, and if it doesn't win Assassins Creed 2 will get the rest.

I can't really argue with Modern Warfare 2, or Assasin's Creed 2... Both of them are great. I have dreams about Modern Warfare 2... SCARY!

I was surprised that Dragon Age: Origins wasn't nominated for more categories though...
SabretoothTiger
SabretoothTiger - 12/8/2009, 5:53 PM
nathan ive heard that dragon age didnt live up to everythin that it was hyped up to be i havent played it yet but im kinda surprised about it too i thought from the looks of it its a great game i also heard that the pc version is way better than the 360 version
NateBest
NateBest - 12/8/2009, 6:13 PM
@SabretoothTiger All of the reviews I've seen for DA said it's great, the only complaint was that it's not really a "Dark Fantasy" like they were promoting, it's just good old fantasy :)

I did hear that the PC version is better as well... I've got a copy for Christmas, but I may have to open it early and find out... The 80+ hour completion time has me a little scared though :o)
CRITIC17
CRITIC17 - 12/8/2009, 6:34 PM
@josh: Yeah man!!! THe story (the best part in my opinion), atmosphere, characters, voice acting, graphic, and gameplay were all great!!! Nothing wrong with that game!! I can't wait to play as the First Big Daddy!!!! Well, like everyone (Well I hope everyone), I'm a major comic fan, so I probably will love Ultimate Alliance 2... do you have a PS3 or 360??
SirExcalibur
SirExcalibur - 12/8/2009, 6:43 PM
Hey this is awesome. I'm doing my votes right now...I haven't played Uncharted...but did anyone else notice that the guy that does his voice is Nolan North, who also did the voice of Giantman in The Avengers cartoon movie, and he did a voice in one of the Hulk VS. ones too I think, can't remember who though. Thought that was kinda cool.
JoshWilding
JoshWilding - 12/8/2009, 6:55 PM
CRITIC: I think that Wentworth Miller is doing some voice acting in Bioshock 2 - he's one of my favourite actors so that might be interesting! I have a PS3! My user ID is joshw_24 if you or anyone else wants to add me! :)

SirExcalibur: Yeah, I think he voiced Deadpool in those! He's also the voice of Desmond Miles in Assassins Creed I & II and 'The Prince' in last years Prince of Persia game!
CRITIC17
CRITIC17 - 12/8/2009, 6:58 PM
@Josh: Dammit!!! I have a 360!!! Thats cool about Miller, never saw him act (never watched Prison Break), I just hope he's not in the new Resident Evil (which shouldn't be even released!!)... I heard Miller might play Jack Ryan in a movie adaption of BioShock which would be AWESOME! WAs Assassin's Creed II better than I?? I haven't played it yet, I forgot that it even came out... ;)

jjmeylar - 12/8/2009, 7:18 PM
Never played "Batman: Arkham Asylum", but I want to. I played the demo, and it was OK.

I LOVED "X-Men Origins: Wolverine Uncaged Edition". It was just as true to Wolverine's brutality as the creators had said it would be.
JoshWilding
JoshWilding - 12/8/2009, 7:23 PM
CRITIC: Damn, typical huh? You should check out Prison Break though - amazing TV show! II is definitely better than the first one for a pile of reasons...better story, gameplay, less repetitive, etc etc - the short version? Buy it, lol!! Seriously man, its an amazing game! Oh and I've updated my Deadpool fan cast so check it out when you can!
CRITIC17
CRITIC17 - 12/8/2009, 7:24 PM
@Josh: I will get it soon, I'm a little behind on my gaming... I'll check it out!!!

SirExcalibur - 12/10/2009, 12:20 AM
Wow Nolan North has done a lot! He's like the Sam Worthington of voice acting;)......And hang on a sec, I jsut read another comment...and...the guy from Bioshock is named Jack Ryan???....Is that right?....As in Jack Ryan played by Harrison Ford in Clear and Present Danger and Patriot Games? lol I was a little weirded out there ahaha, do they really have the same name?
