The world's favourite blue hedgehog returns for a next-level adventure in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 this April, and after settling in Green Hills, Sonic is eager to prove he has what it takes to be a true hero. However, he'll be put to the test when Dr. Robotnik returns, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search for an emerald that has the power to destroy civilizations.
Teaming up with his own sidekick, Tails, Sonic embarks on a globe-trotting journey to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.
The Batman is now playing in theaters, and there's understandably been a lot of excitement for the Dark Knight's big screen return. The first Sonic the Hedgehog movie didn't shy away from making some big pop culture references, and Paramount Pictures has now paid homage to the iconic DC Comics superhero with a fun new poster and extended TV spot.
While Sonic is mocking the Caped Crusader here, it's all in good fun, and we're loving that #BlueJustice hashtag. The footage looks great, and we're definitely excited to see much more from this one over the coming weeks. Something tells us this won't be the last "parody" we see!
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 stars James Marsden, Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, and Jim Carry, alongside new additions Shemar Moore, with Idris Elba as the voice of Knuckles, and Colleen O'Shaughnessey as the voice of Tails.
