Reports have been coming in that the Next Mortal Kombat game we will see will not be the 2011 Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios Reboot. In fact, many websites are posting pre-orders for a PS3 Exclusive Hd re-release of the first three Mortal Kombat games. Listed as going for $39.99, the re-releases are on many websites for pre-order with a release date that could be as soon as November. Unlike the previous re-release of Mortal Kombat II for the PlayStation Arcade and X-box live, the HD re-release supposedly re-shot the character models using real actors, who resemble the original actors of the first games.

After much excitement from fans o'ver the Mortal Kombat: Rebirth', film plans of a reboot seems very likely, if legal action can be appropriately settled between threshold and Warner bros. Mortal Kombat has been a powerful franchise for many years now spawning Comic Books, films, action figures, an animated series and even the underrated Mortal Kombat Conquest, which followed the Great Kung Lao.
