VIDEO GAMES: Box Art Reveals ASSASSIN'S CREED IV Will Be About Pirates

A lot of fans were vocal about the next time period they'd like to explore in the next entry in Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed franchise. The video game studio revealed today that the next entry will be titles Assassin's Creed: IV Black Flag and will feature pirates.

I'm kinda interested to see where this goes. I'm a pirate enthusiast as well as an AC fan. I just hope it continues to go forward in time instead of back. It seems to be a new character due the blondish hair so that's cool, I didn't like Connor all that much. Maybe it'll have Jean LaFitte since it could be past the Golden Age of piracy, he was alive after the American Revolution, born 1776 actually.

I feel that,because the boat thing was so [frick]ing good in AC3,they have just decided to centre it around that game play,not complaining,the more assassins creeds the better

I haven't played all the games. I beat the first one and working on the second. I'm playing them in order (although, I have played a little bit of Brotherhood, Revalations and AC3). So far, while Ezio has the more interesting story, I like Altair more. I really hope the movie doesn't suck, I already have to go trough Tancharoen Kombat. I don't want a bad Assassin's Creed movie too. You could easily make an epic trilogy out of the first game, the second movie would chronicle the life and journey of Ezio (that one would be tricky cause his story spans into three games) and Assassin's Creed 3. It would make a very epic trilogy.

I hated to sail with the ship in AC3. Storm missions were annoying as [frick]. If they make the gameplay better with them im all for pirates.

Sweet, I've always wanted to play as an assassin in London. I hope that it stretches all the way from England to the Caribbean. Really looking forward to this now. Was kind of hoping for it to continue forward in time but this'll do.

Not a fan of AC3....no where near as good as it's prequels or my expectations.....however the boat missions were my favourite part of the game, so i'm all for a pirates AC!

Well, I would have preferred feudal Japan or Ancient Persia or something, I found Conner very boring and the time setting a bit "eh"...

As long as they have an awesome special edition with some type of statuette then I will be all over this.

It looks like the PS3 version will have an extra 60 minutes of gameplay that no other version will have.
