Injustice: Gods Among Us, a fighting game in the DC Universe, has been announced. The game, to be published by Warner Brothers, was developed by NetherRealm Studios and is set for release in 2013. Injustice: Gods Among Us is planned as a "bold new fighting game franchise" that features a "deep, original story" starring such DC heroes as Batman, Harley Quinn, Solomon Grundy, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman and many others. Set in a world where the lines between good and evil are blurred, players will experience heroes and villains engaging in "epic battles on a massive scale."




Injustice: Gods Among Us is developed by NetherRealm and is set to hit shelves sometime in 2013.

Something I don't like is that now all these studios are showing thee gameplay footage to the public BEFORE E3 has even started. E3 isn't what it used to be.

I, might pick this up, never been a massive fighting game person. However I would really like a JL game, I would even take a sequel to JL Heroes sequel (Although, I enjoyed the first one)

Although a Superman game would be nice too.

When are they going to put some effort into a team based RPG videogame? As cool as this looks, they've done the fighting game theme to death.

Definitely not the full roster. For mindless fun I will be picking this up. Hope half the "full" roster doesn't arrive like Arkham Cities did (does?)

What'll be funny is to see people paying Whateversystem points to purchase original outfits. Don't know though, usually NetherRealm is good about using multiple skins and outfits.

I'm just waiting for the dev with the sack and the money to get DC vs Marvel up there. If they can do Amalgam Comics, they could make it work.

Might take a decade, but it's doable.

with the technology out there, I really expect nothing less than 50 characters. Sorry to be demanding.

Hey, how about releasing more moves, powers & backdrops via DLC while you are at it?

Release them piece by piece via DLC, or a GOTY edition with everything on it a year later. Game would be flat out weak if it had basic JLA characters and obligatory Lex Luthor, Joker, & WW villain.

During the run-up to "Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe" they did not reveal characters like Green Lantern and Death Stroke until ComicCon or afterwards (I belive they revealed Superman, Batman, and Flash during E3, 2008 and Catwoman during ComiCon). I would expect that the 6 characters mentioned by Boon will be featured at E3 (I don't think that NetherReal Studios or WB Games will be having a formal press conference or presentation like EA Games, Microsoft, Ubisoft, or Sony are) and the others will be revealed at or after ComiCon.

@BuckyCap - MK vs. DCU sold almost 3 million copies (source VGChartz.com). It certainly wasn't a Batman: Arkham game (which sold over 6 million copies each), but it certainly ranked in the top 10 of the Mortal Kombat franchise. In comparison, MK vs DCU sold better than any of the "Marvel vs. Capcon" games.

I haven't been this excited for a fighting game in awhile. I think this will be a great fighting game.

I hope they put in some deserving characters in the roster. Some JSA members would be a nice touch. And Zatanna would be a cool female character to put in.

I don't know if anyone else noticed, but in the FOS stage, Doomsday is in the background. It looks like he's being contained.

@doodmanbro If Batman had his normal strength, he wouldn't be able to do half of things the super-powered characters could. Same goes for Harley Quinn.

It also might be explained in the game though. Maybe he has superpowers in this story?

Again people, the full roster hasn't been revealed so people like Green Lantern will no doubt be in this game.

As far as the game is concerned, I think this has loads of potential and will be a total blast to play.

They are saying that they will have gadget characters and power characters. If power includes magic, then A character like Zatanna might be possible. Unfortunately, what I think they mean by power is strength. We will see.

Does anyone know any of the voice actors yet? Like for Batman or Harley, Im pretty sure Kevin is voicing batman again, but I can't tell if Arleen Sorkin or Tara Strong is voicing Harley.

Ummm How's about Power Girl, Zatanna, Black Canary, Batwoman (MK style boob jiggles), Gorilla Grodd, Plastic Man, The Spectre, Hourman, Mr. Mxyzptlk, the Parasite, Clayface- aww Main, I could do this all day. I just wanna see the unexpected pop up and have unique abilities that register on different levels according to the enemy they face. Dare to dream...
