The already impressive roster of Super Heroes and Villains in
LEGO DC Super-Villains has grown a bit larger with the release of the new
DC Movie Character Pack.
The latest downloadable content pack features new playable characters inspired by the DCEU film,
Justice League. Among the newly playable characters are Wonder Woman, Batman, The Flash, Superman, Cyborg, and Deathstroke. While you can already play as these characters in their original, comic book forms, the
DC Movie Character Pack gives them a fresh makeover to match their appearance in the movie.
The
DC Movie Character Pack released this week and is available as part of the Season Pass ($14.99 or included in the
LEGO DC Super-Villains Deluxe Edition)
. Alternatively, you can purchase the DLC separately for just $1.99.
In LEGO® DC Super-Villains, the Justice League has disappeared, leaving Earth’s protection to a newcomer group of heroes from a parallel universe, proclaiming themselves as the ‘Justice Syndicate’. Renowned DC Super-Villains from the ‘Legion Of Doom’ discover Earth’s newest heroes may not be the heroes they claim to be. With each player’s completely customizable Super-Villain character in command, this team of misfits must join forces to discover and foil the evil plans the incognito newcomers have in store. Players will create their own supervillain character and set out on a journey to determine their character’s purpose within the story. Along the way, players will unlock new powers and customizations for their character, travel off the beaten path for additional story quests, puzzles, and mini-games to unlock rewards and recruit other DC Super-Villains, and cause mischief throughout well-known DC locations including Gotham, Metropolis, Smallville, and more.
The
DC Movie Character Pack is the latest DLC to release for the game, following the
Aquaman Movie Level/Character Packs (inspired by the recently released James Wan-directed film). The Season Pass for
LEGO DC Super-Villains offers a total of four character packs and six new playable levels.
Justice League was met with mixed reception upon release, but did gross over $650 million at the worldwide box office. But while the team-up film failed to live up to studio expectations, the standalone movies for both
Wonder Woman and
Aquaman have both been impressive both critically and commercially. Seeing these big-screen versions of our favorite DC heroes comes to life in
LEGO DC Super-Villains should still be fun.
LEGO DC Super-Villains is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
