In[frick]ingcredible...DC wake up you're being stomped by Marvel in every category whether in comics, on film etc.

@Dick "Stomped in every category?" Because of a mobile game it isn't like DC have a couple of games that were game of the year or anything. I think in terms of gaming DC have that one covered.

Lately in comics too, DC has been doing rather well in terms of a share of the comic book sales, with a lot of titles in the top ten.

Film wise TDKR is going to make a lot of money, and lets not forget too that even Superman Returns has out grossed Thor and Captain America.

I am not Marvel bashing here if the comment was the other way round I would stick up for Marvel, but just think was an uncalled for statement.

However game does remind of Streets of Rage, but with superheroes so I will give it a go.

Speaking of DC getting smashed by Marvel in every way...
I tought I taw a putty cat. I did! I did see a pussy cat!
Anne Hathaways Catwoman is visible in a pane of glass in The Avengers that gets smashed by the Leviathan just after Iron Man's Jonah impression.
Seriously.

@Knightrider im sure TDKR will make a boat load of money but you cant bring up Superman Returns... that movie was a bomb, Thor and Cap at least made more then their budget domestically and Superman didn't.
Mechagino
Mechagino - 5/9/2012, 8:59 PM
@Knightrider: actually Thor made about 450 or close to it.

@Darkhawk8: Uhhh.... Nearly 400 worldwide isn't that much of a bomb. :\

@Knightrider- WTF!!! Did you just mention Superman Returns??? It's like warner bros. red headed stepchild. It was soooo bad they had to reboot it.
DoomXfactor
DoomXfactor - 5/9/2012, 9:06 PM
@Mechagino- It was a bomb in Warner Brothers eyes
Darkhawk8
Darkhawk8 - 5/9/2012, 9:06 PM
@Mechagino it made 391..it cost 270 to make.. add advertising.. Sorry but when you put that much into a movie and it doesn't double your investment i wouldn't call that a great success. that being said i have faith in the man of steel.

*looks on wiki, sees 209 as budget*
Yeeeeah, no idea where you got those numbers.

@alx2125: I'm aware of that and I always found that to be stupid of them for doing that. Hell we had people ready for the sequel but after many scheduling conflicts plus the writers strike, they said [frick] it and rebooted it. Quite a shame because I would of loved to see brainiac or bizarro but Zod is pretty cool.

@Darkhawk8- Great name btw, I love DC and Marvel!
Darkhawk8
Darkhawk8 - 5/9/2012, 9:16 PM
yeah wiki is so accurate with information... go to boxofficemojo. production budget: 270 million. yeeeaahhh

@ Mechagino- I hope Man Of Steel does well. I've been wanting a quality Superman movie since Chris Reeve
Knightrider
Knightrider - 5/9/2012, 9:22 PM
I guess what I was trying to illustrate was no one company is stomping on the other. My reference was Box Office mojo.

@Darkhaw8- LOL Box office mojo knows their shit

""Superman Returns" fell under endless scrutiny for its production budget, which the studio puts at $209 million after tax rebates and incentives. "
From varIety article. :\

Darkhawk8 - 5/9/2012, 9:27 PM
@Knightrider agreed.. both companies have had their share of garbage movies. But right now is a good time to be a cbm fan. hopefully it can continue for a while.
Knightrider
Knightrider - 5/9/2012, 9:30 PM
@DarkHawk Exactly. Not a fan of picking one over the other, a bomb for 1 CBM will make audiences think twice about the next one they visit no matter if marvel or dc
Mechagino
Mechagino - 5/9/2012, 9:40 PM
@alx2125: They'll probably attach Nolan, Goyer, and Synder to the trailer, so yeah from that alone it'll get people hyped.
Darkhawk8
Darkhawk8 - 5/9/2012, 9:41 PM
@ Mechagino you're trying so hard to defend a movie that you know was bad.. of course the studio is going to do as much damage control as they can. Lets say it was between 209 and 270. That still doesnt't turn into a big enough profit for the studio.
Mechagino
Mechagino - 5/9/2012, 9:50 PM
Uhhh.... No. It's a movie I enjoy, where would you get an idea like that? :\

And whatever? Keep in mind that budget estimate I mentioned came directly from people within WB or Singer himself and he agrees and is like "WTF!?" with them. Nearly 400 mill is pretty close to it.
