VIDEO GAMES: New Video For The Amazing Spider-Man Shows The Power Of Web Rush

Beenox has released a new gameplay video for The Amazing Spider-Man a week before release showcasing the true power of the Web Rush gameplay mechanic. You can view the video after the jump.

So there you have it, one of the most hyped gameplay mechanics that's newly introduced to the Spider-Man game series gets a new video!

Something I personally noticed is around the 0:55-1:00 mark when you can see that the sky is now dark in Manhattan so perhaps this confirms that The Amazing Spider-Man will have a day and night transition!

Go beyond the movie to experience what it's like to BE Spider-Man like never before. Set shortly after the events of Columbia Pictures' new film, The Amazing Spider-Man throws New York City's brand new hero back into free-roaming, web-slinging action, as he protects the Big Apple from a deluge of unimaginable threats. Experience the new Web Rush mechanic as Spidey twists his way through the NYC skyline with unprecedented speed and grace. The game's original story also explores beautiful indoor environments, as you'll encounter everything from skirmishes with everyday street thugs to pulse-pounding confrontations with Spider-Man's most lethal foes.

@Pepsiguy2 Not really. It's common these days that retail shops get the games week(s) before initial release. The smaller shops usually put them on their shelves earlier, bigger ones usually dont (to avoid any conflicts with publishers). You can bet your ass on the fact that most shops in the US already got a shipment of the game thats now idling there, waiting to be unpacked & put on shelves.

I'll call the local shop I know the owner of tomorrow, maybe he already got a few copies too. He usually sells them early to people he knows.

Web attaches to the sky, now. Lazy, just like the Raimi films in that regard.

@poop23 - that's what I was thinking brother, they're taking away from actually playing the game, granted I couldn't do as cool looking stuff in other games, but it felt more fun to play as I was controlling everything he did. Games are too easy now a days anyways.
