In a previous article of mine, I spotted something that I have dubbed "WayneCoins" and assumed that Gameloft would make their upcoming video games The Amazing Spider-Man and The Dark Knight Rises in the free-to-play format where the game would be free for anyone to download and you can pay for additional content through in-app purchases much like their video game for Men In Black where you can manage and create your own agency.
The Dark Knight beats up a thug only to get spotted by a Sniper Today, I received an email from Tom Price who is the Product PR Manager of Gameloft to confirm whether or not
The Dark Knight Rises and
The Amazing Spider-Man would carry this format. He had the following to say:

Hey there, this is Tom Price, Product PR Manager for Gameloft. I just wanted to correct something in your post. Neither Spider-man nor Dark Knight will be "freemium" titles. They are both definitely premium titles, though we can't reveal their price or what the structure of any in app purchasing system may be at this point. But I just wanted to clear up that they are definitely not "freemium".
We just like to be careful with that since a lot of people think "freemium" is a bad word ;-)
