I predict one of the biggest flops of the year. The trailer before Civil War was cringe worthy. Warcraft is way past its prime and this movie is already obsolete.

@DuffMan

While MMO's may be "dead", Blizzard is still making plenty of money. Diablo 3 was a huge hit and a lot of people are ready Overwatch to come out. Blizzard has a extremely popular MOBA. I would have prefered a Movie based on StarCraft, but believe a Diablo story line probably would have been more well received. Having said that,and this is coming from a HUGE Green Lantern comic fan, it cannot be worse than the Green Lantern Movie. So, fingers crossed.

I'm respectfully shocked by all the dismissals of this movie. I wish I could appreciate why people don't immediately love the trailers and just general property of Warcraft cinema but I don't think I will. I loved the trailers, and have watched the trailers in HD televisions, in the theater and consistently find them incredible. Could there be a chance that opinions are more biased than actually originated in the film's merits? As a former blizzard gamer and ethusiast, I always dreamed of the day they would make a direct translation of the cut scenes and opening/closing scenes of all the Blizzard properties, especially Starcraft. If people enjoy video game cutscenes at the very least, then I feel this should be treated as a longer form of that. I feel it's everything it markets itself to be and does not fall short. The movie is meant to look "fantastic" and use a color and graphics pallet that looks unreal or fluorescent. The textures are supposed to illustrate an almost video game like experience. I would suggest looking at it as if you were watching Twitch and then suddenly realize that the game has live actors portraying the gameplay. Hopefully my opinion widens the humility of even the most obstinate CBM'er.
