We won't be seeing anything from
Wonder Woman 1984 at SDCC this year (more on that
here), but director Patty Jenkins has lessened the blow by debuting a rather gorgeous first theatrical poster for the DC Comics sequel.
As you can see, the psychedelic one-sheet features Diana (Gal Gadot) sporting an all-new suit of armor, which is considerably different to the costumes she wore in her previous big-screen appearances.
Although it's missing the huge wings, this appears to be a variation on the Golden Eagle armor Wonder Woman has donned in the comics from time to time.
Fast forward to the 1980s as Wonder Woman’s next big screen adventure finds her facing an all-new foe: The Cheetah. Principal photography is underway on Warner Bros. Pictures’ follow up to the Super Hero’s first outing, last summer’s record-breaking “Wonder Woman,” which took in $822 million at the worldwide box office. “Wonder Woman 1984” will also be helmed by acclaimed director Patty Jenkins, and star Gal Gadot in the title role.
What do you guys think of this eye-catching poster?
