Thanks to the ongoing pandemic, Wonder Woman 1984 will be released simultaneously in theaters and on HBO Max on Christmas Day. However, as the streaming service is currently exclusive to the U.S., the DC Comics sequel will be heading to theaters overseas starting December 16th.
As Variety explains, that's being done in a bid to combat piracy, but poor quality versions will almost certainly be viewed by U.S. fans before December 25th (particularly if they don't want to subscribe to HBO Max), while those overseas will no doubt wait until they can find the movie online if they'd rather not risk braving their local cinema. So, either way, piracy - and spoilers - are sure to be an issue!
At any rate, Warner Bros. has now revealed the international release dates for Wonder Woman 1984 across the globe:
