Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins took to the stage along with the cast and director of Aquaman for Warner Bros.' presentation at CinemaCon tonight, and while she didn't reveal a whole lot about Diana's next solo adventure, she did confirm a rumor that's been doing the rounds for quite a while.

Wonder Woman 2 will indeed be set in the '80s, and although Jenkins didn't mention anything about the Cold War, it's probably a safe enough bet.

This news is sure to disappoint some fans, as many were hoping for a modern day follow-up to the first film, which took place during World War 1.

In related news, director Davis F. Sandberg also showed some BTS footage from Shazam!, and outlined his family-friendly approach to the DC Cinematic Universe.
