Wonder Woman: Balance of Power Fan Film

Wonder Woman: Balance of Power Fan Film

The live action adventures of Wonder Woman continue over at Earth's Mightiest in the form of the fan film "Balance of Power." Although produced a few years ago, this film is still an ambitious attempt to bring the Amazon Princess to life.

I didn't care much for the look of the woman playing Wonder Woman. They really drew out the hand-to-hand fight scene with a mere mortal human. I mean, c'mon...you aren't going to be able to take that many blows from Wonder Woman unless you have powers yourself.

Thanks for the head's up guys, I fixed the link. Hate when I do lamebrain moves like that.

I enjoy the fan films where they really get ambitious and shoot their own adventures -- not that there's anything wrong with those fan trailers utilizing footage from different movies. Those are cool, too, but it's just so much harder to film it themselves.

What I've seen of it seems pretty good. Like I said, it's ambitious and I give them credit for accomplishing it as well as they do.

Its sad that FANS have to make films for DC. Marvel is winning, hands down.

No, Ed! No! She requires a budget and talent that FanFics just won't be able to capture.

Phinehas, she requires a budget for a real film. This is just a fan effort, and I applaud their ambition to go out there and try to create something.

Yeah I watched it, I thought it was pretty awful, terrible acting, terrible writing...the camera work was completley amatuer and there was practically no lighting.

This is really bad, the best fan-film I've ever seen was Batman: Dead End..the Joker was cheesey but everything else was perfect.

Ryden, I agree with everything you said about Batman: Dead End (it's amazing!), but Sandy Collora spent $30,000 on it, a fee most of these fan filmmakers simply can't afford. This is not my way of supporting the Wonder Woman film, just that most of these productions work with virtually no budget.

Not bad for what they had to work with, they really need to work on their editing skills. And I don't understand what the THX certified was about, I guess to make it feel more legit, but made me laugh.

Whoa careful...I think its a good attempt.I hope DC make this movie and represent Wonder Woman as the amazonian warrior she is. Her costume cannot be hokey. It must look like the original costume but also maintain the look of a female olympian gladiator.

@Ed- It still doesn't exscuse poor writing or acting, maybe people shouldn't try and make a serious fan-film if they know they simply don't have the budget for it. I know I would certainly put it on hold till I was able to afford a decent camera, decent costumes etc
