WONDER WOMAN 1984 Costume Designer Lindy Hemming Confirms WONDER WOMAN 3 Return - EXCLUSIVE

Earlier today, we had the privilege of speaking to Oscar-winning costume designer Lindy Hemming who confirmed that she will return for Wonder Woman 3. When would she like the threequel to be set, though?

In the world of costume design, Lindy Hemming is a legend. Her work is arguably unrivalled, something that's evident from what we've seen in the James Bond movies (from Goldeneye to Casino Royale), Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Trilogy, and both Wonder Woman and Wonder Woman 1984

With the sequel now available to rent on Premium Video on Demand in the UK, we recently had the opportunity to speak to Lindy about her work on the DC Comics adaptation.

We had to ask whether she's returning as the costume designer for the recently confirmed Wonder Woman 3, and you can find an excerpt from our conversation below (stay tuned for much more).

It’s been confirmed that Wonder Woman 3 is happening; are you returning for the movie, and do you have any ideas what you’d like to do with Diana Prince’s look in the present day?

Who’s told you it’s the present day? [Laughs]

I'm just speculating!

I know you are; I’m used to these interviews! [Laughs] Truly, yes, Patty has asked me, and I have absolutely no idea what the date or anything of it is. Of course, personally, I’d like it to be set in some period somewhere because then I could do that kind of work on it. I don’t think she’s written it yet; I think it’s all in her head, for now. I’d love to do it, and she asked me to, so I probably will!

She has a Star Wars movie [Rogue Squadron] work on too...

Yes, she’s got to write that first and do it, so that’s a minimum of two years ahead, so there’s plenty of time to think about it.

Lindy Hemming's work on both Wonder Woman movies has been phenomenal, and it's impossible to fault what we saw from her collaboration with Nolan on his Batman trilogy. The fact that she's returning for the third chapter in Diana Prince's story is great news, and regardless of what era it takes place in, we have no doubt the Amazon Warrior will continue to look nothing short of amazing.

As they didn't wait for the films release they could have shot that threequel back to back with WW84 in the first place.
Seeing as reviews and BO hit later and they clearly didn't care for the films reception I would have seen that as economic

lindy's great. she should come back. patty needs to hire a top notch writer and someone to help her with cgi and action.

The sad and stupid thing Patty did is she was in a better position to hire a great writer after WW1 than after this mess. No way she gets a 200 million budget for WW3.

I have a sneaking suspicion they may have to reboot this franchise on a lower budget and it makes me sad. I hope she can come back and redeem herself though.

I guess the pluses are there's nowhere to go but up from the last one and...yeah

The negatives, if they wait another 3 years to gift them the completion of a trilogy, the longer it takes to reboot.

To the management at WB/DC

@inkniron

Think you’re being a little harsh. Iron Man wasn’t rebooted after IM 2. Nor Thor after The Dark World. WW1984 is honestly right there with those movies.

It has to be present day, with something bringing her back to Themyscira to reunite w/ her mom and the Amazons.
