WONDER WOMAN 2 Rumors Point To A 1980s Setting And The Possible Return Of Chris Pine As Steve Trevor
It was only a matter of time before rumored plot details for Warner Bros.' planned Wonder Woman sequel made their way online, and this first one relates to the film's setting and Steve Trevor's return...
Though Warner Bros. still hasn't made Wonder Woman 2 official, the massive success of Patty Jenkins' first movie means an eventual announcement is all-but guaranteed. While we wait for that, however, there's going to be the usual internet rumors springing up.
According to Screen Rant, the sequel's story will once again unfold in the past, as Diana does battle against Soviet forces in a Cold War setting. Apparently, the original production team will remain on board, with supposed confirmation that Geoff Johns is developing the script with Jenkins.
This part is easy enough to buy, but they also report that Chris Pine's Steve Trevor is set to return, which obviously doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
While the source is far from reputable (they still report on that nonsense from Reddit and 4Chan, for one), these details have been backed up by several other sites, so there might just be some truth to 'em.
Pinch of salt for the time being, and we'll be sure to update you guys if anything else comes to light.

A new report indicates that Patty Jenkins was the one who walked away from Wonder Woman 3 after the studio "gave notes" on her treatment. Is there a chance Gal Gadot could stay on in the role?
We're about to enter a new era of storytelling in the DCU, but before we get there, it's time to take a look back at the troubled franchise's post-credits scene and see how they all compare to each other!
Though the DCEU is currently in a state of flux, it sounds like the "reset" is going to keep a few familiar faces around, as Gal Gadot is reportedly set to play Wonder Woman in several upcoming projects.
