Born into a world filled with prejudice are children who possess extraordinary and dangerous powers-the result of unique genetic mutations. Cyclops unleashes bolts of energy from his eyes. Storm can manipulate the weather at will. Rouge absorbs the life force of anyone she touches. X-Men (2000) was directed by Bryan Singer, from a screenplay written by David Hayter. The cast included: Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Famke Janssen, James Marsden, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos, Ray Park, and Anna Paquin. On a budget of $70 million, it earned $290 million at the worldwide box office.
