The final shot in X-Men: First Class is of Michael Fassbender in his redesigned, comic book inspired Magneto costume. It's a pretty epic scene, and you can check out a couple of stills from it below. i thought the costume was great from behind,but when you got round the front it was just okay.

but still better than the one in the x-men trilogy,i love he's helmet design.

I don't get why people were expecting them to go all out on the costume. For a minute of screen time the costume did its jobs. IF they have a sequel then they'll probably improve it. I don't see what else there gonna do it, do too much and it has the danger of becoming too campy, theres needs to be balance between camp and cool.

Easy, Ror. It's only been out a day and a half in the states and some people work weekends. Hardly any reason to call someone an imbecile. You were the one who asked the question.

I haven't been, because there are few movies I will go to the theater and see and this isn't one of them. As I have said before, I will watch it on Netflix and will probably enjoy it for being a decent flick. I won't pay for it being it isn't an actual X-Men adaptation. My choice.

The helmet wasnt cheesy, that is Magneto's first helmet! Obviously some people here are unaware of Magneto's early comic days, because they did a spot-on job with that.

That's the X-Men #1 helmet

The helmet in First Class was awesome!

Why could they use the same helmet in any of the XMen trilogy? Why did they have to use this cheap helmet on Ian??

I cringed when he revealed the front of the costume. That emblem on the helmet killed it. I hope they improve it for the sequel.

why do u people complain so much?? my lord!! You people are beyond just ridiculous babies, but downright annoying! The movie was fantastic, and everything about it, rocked! Enjoy the fact were seeing guys like Magneto on a big screen, we could still be stuck wishing we could see these guys on the big screen!

Agree with @YeaOKYea, they should've left the little pointy thing off the helmet instead of adding it, and I hate the costume from the neck down. Only bad part of the film.

The costume definitely doesn't look that bad, that was some mad fan service on Vaughn's and the costume designers' parts, I liked that. I think it's something that they are intending to let Magneto grow into. Love the helmet though, and loved sebastian shaw in this movie.

And this is Daredevil's first costume.



Being faithful to the comics doesn't necessarilly mean something translates well into live action. If people don't think it looks good, the statment "that's how it was in the comics!" doesn't negate that.

Helmet is okay. Not the suit. He should wearing the magneto's suit in previous xmen movies.

@BIGBMH To be fair, Daredevil didn't know how he looked in the beginning. Magneto's helmet was awesome, but the costume could've used more oomph. But the movie overall surpassed Thor in my opinion, the only downside was January Jones' acting.
