There was speculation that the first couple of New Mutants teasers (well, they're actually more like GIFS) shared on the film's Twitter page related to the dark past of Rahne Sinclair (Maisie Williams), and this latest one definitely seems to be hinting at a crucial scene involving Danielle Moonstar (Blu Hunt).

THE NEW MUTANTS: Get Better Acquainted With The 5 Team Members And The Actors That Play Them

If you've read the Demon Bear Saga, you'll know that Mirage's first attempt to take down the bear that killed her parents leads her out into the snow-covered forest, where she is badly wounded by the demonic creature. The wintry promo below certainly seems like a foreboding foreshadowing of these events.

We also have a new shot of Alice Braga's Dr. Cecilia Reyes as she keeps an eye on her troubled young patients (prisoners?).

The New Mutants is set to hit theaters next April.

@RasAlGhul - I recommend watching Conjuring 1 and 2. The second being one of scariest movies the past few years imo. Was legit terrified in theaters and I do not scare easily lolol.

New Mutants moved so fast. Filming started in July 2017 and film released in April 2018.

I wonder if they will be able to get the sequel out in 2019 before the official official control goes into effect.

I wasn't to crazy about Bill's art in the original storyline but the story itself was great.

I've been thinking for a while and I think I'm okay with just a stand alone movie unconnected from any universe. Sad though that if its good there won't be any sequels...

I am curious what was the budget for the film. I think it will come in on the lower end of the X-men films. It should better tie into the larger X-men films.
