NEW MUTANTS: Possible Details On The Reshoots Have Been Revealed As Evidence Mounts About Disney+ Debut

We know that The New Mutants is in serious trouble, but a new report sheds some light on its possible Disney+ debut. Another rumour, meanwhile, claims to reveal what those reshoots would have entailed...

Before the Disney/Fox merger started falling into place, The New Mutants was supposed to undergo extensive reshoots to add new characters and drastically alter the movie's tone. They still haven't happened, though, and now it seems as if the movie will just be released in its current state on the Disney+ streaming service rather than in theaters.

That obviously makes sense because Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige are planning to reboot the X-Men Universe, and a new report from Vanity Fair now confirms that it will be a "likely casualty" of the merger and "Its moderate budget, younger cast, and smaller spectacle make it the perfect title to send directly to consumers" on the online platform.

In related news, a SHH Forums user who has a pretty good track record with rumours about these movies has shared some possible intel about what the reshoots would have entailed.

It's said that Dafne Keen's X-23 was set to be added after her appearance in Logan, which would have lined up with what we heard about Fox having big plans for the character following Hugh Jackman's departure from the role of Wolverine. It's also said that those rumours about Jon Hamm or Antonio Banderas playing Mister Sinister were completely false.

Finally, it seems that talk of a relationship between Wolfsbane and Mirage have been greatly exaggerated because their "lesbian romance" boils down to little more than a kiss during a game of Spin the Bottle!
