We still don't have an ETA on that full trailer for Josh Boone's The New Mutants (though we will be getting something new from the X-Men spin-off this week), but the film's official Twitter account continues to release brief character-based promos.

THE NEW MUTANTS: Get Better Acquainted With The 5 Team Members And The Actors That Play Them

This latest one gives us another look at Sam Guthrie/Cannonbal (Charlie Heaton), who seems to be reliving a traumatic experience.

In the comics, Sam took work in a coal mine to help his family make ends meet, and when he became trapped in a cave his mutant blasting ability manifested for the first time. This seems to suggest that the movie will follow suit, and that the team may be forced to revisit the most terrifying events of their pasts.
