X-MEN Spinoff NEW MUTANTS Has Finally Begun Pre-Production
Josh Boone's New Mutants has been slowly coming together for a while now, but some new posts on social media point to the X-Men spinoff finally entering the pre-production stages...
It's been a long time coming, but New Mutants has finally begun pre-production. Director Josh Boone has confirmed that via a couple of posts on Instagram and it sounds as if he's been joined by longtime friend and original screenwriter Knate Gwaltney. A later draft was penned by The Fault in Our Stars scribes Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber.
Whether or not this means the movie will indeed be released in 2018 remains to be seen, but this is definitely a good sign. Based on the "Demon Bear Saga," the likes of Mirage, Wolfsbane, Sunspot, Cannonball, Magik, Dani Moonstar, and Warlock are all expected to appear, while it's possible James McAvoy's Professor X will also show up in some capacity here.
