We Desreve 'R' Rated Films:Wolverine And Deadpool

Some Marvel Comics characters I believe deserve R rated movies...

Wolverine

Wolverine's life has had the worst hardships, war, murdes, assassinating. Wolverine has 6 claws that he uses to cuut and stab people, now when it come down to using stabbing weapons it will get gruesome.

When Wolverine cuts people blood will come out and body parts will be removed how do you have a Wolverine movie that pre-teens could go see and enjoy. Aside from the obvious cutting Wolverine has a potty mouth

Logan doesn't censor himself if he thinks your mean he'll call you an *ssh*l*, he smokes cigars and he drinks and he ain't getting hungover with that healing factor. So I'm saying that Wolverine is a gruesome berseker he's got 6 lethal weapons, a powerful vocabulary and a I don't give a f*ck attitude, so with live action films know this cartoons don't do all this because those are for children but movies should have no limit, life isn't rated PG-13 and Wolverines sure as hell ain't.

Deadpool

The Merc With A Mouth, there are so many things to say about why Deadpool deserves an R rated movie, for one things he's a smart mouth. He can't go seconds without making a wise crack and it really isn't a wise crack for children it's more adult humor

Wade is also a bad ass to the extreme and not like a an agressive bad ass like Wolverine, but a gruesome bad ass like The Punisher. Deadpool would deacpitate somebody and probably play hackey with their head and joke about it.

Not giving Deadpool and R Rated movie would be the most outrageous ludicrous thing to happen to the world.

IMHO we dont NEED R-rated main-stream comic films, because they weren't made that way. I have never read a deadpool comic that was too "mature", there is just alot of killing but not alot of blood and censored swearing, which a PG-13 film could do perfectly. Scott Pilgrim has shown censcored swearing to be comedic, and a PG-13 film can have a certain amount of swearing without alluding to sex. And You could show killing happening in PG-13 film without showing "too much" blood which some films have gotten away with some pretty gorey shit. This is why I question people saying Deadpool HAS to be Rated R. It simply doesn't and could definitely pull off a great film with a PG-13 rating and so can WOlverine.

Also while I'm on the subject why do Fanboys say Quentin Tarrintino HAS to make Deadpool, He's totatly wrong for the character. If you are a fan of Tarrantino Then you would know that 75% of his films is dialouge and then a small action sequence. Robert Rodriguez on the other hand is perfect for Deadpool and he doesnt mind adapting someone elses work

****Please mind the spelling I kinda was in a rush.

I've been saying that Deadpool doesn't need to be R rated. With PG13, you can have every other word the F-word, as long as you never actually refer to sex, you can say any other swear as much as you want, all the blood you want, and you can get away with a lot of nudity and still have PG13.
Aside from being able to refer to sex as "[frick]ing," the only other things you would need an R rating to include something is hard drug use (which is not needed, nor was it ever in the comics) and gratuitous nudity (remember the second Matrix movie and that sleazy sex scene that only resulted in most of the audience feeling uncomfortable?).
An R rating risks making the movie cheesey and if it's too mature, I can't bring EVERY member of my family, like I've been planning to, thus the movie won't make as much. I hate how comic fans keep complaining that comic book movies should be as accurate to the source material as possible then turn around and say they want the Deadpool movie to be more mature than any of the comics (sans MAX) have ever been.

And I agreed with InSpace. Tarrantino only does his own work and can't do the action nor the touching drama (ie his traumatic past) that makes up most of Deadpool's character. And for those that don't know, Rodriguez has explained that he was never in talks to direct Deadpool, Fox just tossed him the script to get his opinion on it.

i agree we need r-rated wolverine & deadpool movies, but r-rated comic book movies don't make much money.

-kick ass
-watchmen
-punisher warzone

also they don't sell action figures because kids are restricted from going to the films.

I want James McTeigue to direct Deadpool ever since I saw Ninja Assassin I imagined a Deadpool movie like that with tons of blood. I don't like tons of profanity in any movie I just feel it is unneeded. R rated CBMs have a history of doing very poor at the box office with the exception of 300 but that was just a freak thing. Watchmen, Kick Ass, and several others have very bad box office earnings. We have to remember that kids watch these films and they are a large percentage of the CBM viewers.

I don't see wolverine getting the r-rated treatment any time soon hes just too popular of a character. Now maybe when the movie comes out on dvd/blu-ray perhaps a director's cut. Deadpool on the other hand has a better chance.
