The Total Recall actress says she would love to work with Hugh Jackman and James Mangold on the upcoming Wolverine follow up, but that nothing is set in stone..

Yesterday reports came in that Jessica Biel had been offered the role of Viper in James Mangold's The Wolverine, and this was quickly followed up by an an announcement from Deadline that she had accepted. But it seems that may have been a bit premature. Have a look at what the lovely actress had to say to Hitfix in an interview at SDCC..



"People keep talking about this, I don't know anything about it. It's a little bit too soon for that kind of an announcement. I'm excited about this series..."

But it's not a done deal.

"I love wolverine, Hugh Jackman is so cool... people are surprising me about it all the time. When you see that people actually really think that could be an amazing character... when other people are excited about things."

Biel is a pretty good actress you know, she just tends to make god awful movies. But check out her performances in The Illusionist and Easy Virtue, she can act when she wants to.

Yeah she was ok in The Illusionist, which to me was way better than the overrated The Prestige... But I think this movie will bomb, and Jackman is not getting any younger.

My first response is "STOP ADDING CHARACTERS!! THAT KILLED THE LAST POS!!"

However, with the inclusion of Viper and the Silver Samurai, I'm wondering if they are including some of the story from the Uncanny X-men issue that immediately followed the Wolverine mini-series that this movie is SUPPOSEDLY based on.

Because Disney is going to sue Fox' ass if they use Viper, which is not an X-Men character

This film just might surprise the lot of you. I remember very similar reactions, if not identical, to early casting reports of X-Men: First Class, and that was one of the best comic book movies of recent years.

I loved the Illusionist but she was definitely the worst part of it. Jessica Biel is insanely attractive, but has zero range when it comes to acting.

Also, u know FOX is gonna change the characters look somehow since they never stick to the source material and costumes for their Marvel characters, specially anything X-Men related. She will probably only be Viper by name...and Marvel Studios will stick closer to her look in the comics if they decide to use her, so the audience wouldnt be as confused as u may think if they both decide to have the same character on film.
