Now I'll tell yah, that line Mystique delivered was terrible written, and the actress saying it did a terrible job.

Guess what it was...

Actually, Quicksilver does look like he'll be a good character, regardless of design. I'm really looking forward to this. I have faith in Singer!

I have to say, I do really want Storm to bite it in this. Probably the worst casting out of all the X-Films. Needs to be rebooted, and hopefully she has a part in Apocolypse.

I'm sure there will be one scene where all that bluster about "shooting in thousands of frames per second" will look sort of cool, but Quicksilver's powers still pretty much just look like:

Actually... if this is what QS looked like in the 70's, any chance that they're actually the same character pre-and-post-op? lol

Quicksilver looks awesome. Like his costume or not, it fits the time period. Horrible representation of Quicksilver yes. But it still makes sense. I can't wait fir this movie!

Young Xavier sounds like he has the flu.

He may look from his press photos, but I think Evan Peters makes a better Quicksilver than Aaron Taylor Johnson because he is the better actor overall. American Horror Story shows that.

Lol @grif

Welcome back! I thought I felt the shit winds this morning!

Jen Lawrence is gorgeous, but I miss Rebecca Romijn... She had that blue shit lookin fine!

MrCBM56 - "Quicksilver looks awesome. Like his costume or not, it fits the time period."

No the person who design his 'costume' mixed up the 70s with 80s. Where's flared trousers like Xavier?

@McMeatFace

Hell, Never Back Down showed that. Peters is great, and has the right attitude to pull off Quicksilver.

starting to be more excited for Iceman and Quicksilver than anybody else. These two characters seem to be the most fun/entertaining to look at

Just out of curiosity, how is Mystique NOT a badass?

Love Mystique at the end. So fierce. <3

About five of these characters will dominate the screen time. The rest will be glorified cameos.

The nerd-rage will be epic when fanboys figure that out.

Meh to Quicksilver. Faora anyone? I was hoping for something original.

Quicksilver looked decent. His powers should look more impressive once they display it in slow mo. Singer said there's a sequence where they display his abilities in a new and unique way

@Comics- I missed that comment from Singer. I hope so.

I honestly don't see anything wrong with QS's speed effect.
Seriously, what did you want it to look like? It looks pretty cool. A lot better than the stretches out blur from X3.
It's super speed. He moves very quickly, do you want flashing lights or something?
Geeeeeeeze.
Starfox
Starfox - 3/26/2014, 7:57 AM
I love the speed effect. It would be cool though to have one or two slow-mo's in the film just to show his speed off in comparison.

One of my favourite parts from the X Men franchise was Mystique's short but total bad-ass fight scenes.
Now it looks like we're getting a few of them in DOFP. Awesome

To the haters:

@Cherry- You ever shop for a present for someone where you dont know what to get them but you're sure you will know it when you see it? For me, QS speed effects were a similar idea- each his/her own, I guess.
