I'm aware that we have all seen and heard more than enough from the First Class camp, but since Till is talking about some of the other big CBMs we are all anxiously awaiting, I thought this would be an interesting read. In an interview with MTV the young actor is asked what sets X-Men: First Class apart from the other super hero flicks that are heading our way..
“The question I wish you would ask me was, ‘How awesome does this summer look?’ Because you’ve got completely different things. You’ve got, like, with Captain America you got a 1940s pulp movie feel and I feel like that’s going to be its own separate thing and fun and entertaining. And then you got Thor which is like a cool ‘He-Man’ episode — which I was thoroughly surprised with.”
“And then you've got Green Lantern which I thought was going to be stupid, but kind of looks like a cool cartoon. And you got this one, which is all the answers we’ve been giving today."
Umm, a cool cartoon? haha, bit of a strange comliment. So what does
First Class bring to the table?
"There are so many metaphors to real life [in 'X-Men: First Class'].There’s actually character development. I feel like you would care about the characters. And there’s an ensemble cast, you know, which they’re trying to do with Justice League and Avengers”
Well, no argument from me on caring about the characters, but I would hope they do a better job on dealing with the entire ensemble cast in The Avengers!
First Class is out now, and you can check out my review a few articles down.
