For the past 12 months, DEA agent Bobby Trench (Denzel Washington) and U.S. naval intelligence officer Marcus Stigman (Mark Wahlberg) have been reluctantly attached at the hip. Working undercover as members of a narcotics syndicate, each man distrusts his partner as much as the criminals they have both been tasked to take down. When their attempt to infiltrate a Mexican drug cartel and recover millions goes haywire, Trench and Stigman are suddenly disavowed by their superiors. Now that everyone wants them in jail or in the ground, the only person they can count on is the other. Unfortunately for their pursuers, when good guys spend years pretending to be bad, they pick up a few tricks along the way.

@fettastic - 2 Guns is tracking much better than what Pacific Rim was before it's release. Recent box office tracking suggests that it should open to at least 38 million (potentially 40 million).

@ Fettastic - I wasn't talking about Comic Book Movie (which is hardly the end all to end all when it comes to box office), I was talking about tracking, and 2 Guns is showing signs of being a hit based off tracking, especially with Washington and Wahlberg involved (don't doubt the Denzel).

It can flop, but with Denzel involved, I expect a decent opening weekend.

@ fettastic - Tracking is tracking. The Wolverine was originally tracking for a 55 million opening weekend, but they pushed it up because Fandango’s sales were supposedly going through the roof.

Besides if Safe House with Ryan Reynolds can make 41 million, then I don’t see any reason why 2 Guns with Mark Wahlberg can’t make as much (if not more).
