300: Rise Of An Empire star Jack O'Connell, who is playing the teenager 'Calisto', has tweeted a group photo of the cast and crew from the set of the movie in Bulgaria.
We get our first look at some of the principal cast including leading man Sullivan Stapleton (standing here in the middle of the picture) who plays 'Themistocles', a role thought to be the equivalent of the role Gerard Butler played in
300, King Leonidas. He sports a similar look - cropped hair, beard and a chiseled torso.
Jack O'Connell himself can be seen standing to the left of Stapleton with a glass in his hand. The film also stars Eva Green as Artemisia and returning cast members Rodrigo Santoro as 'Xerxes', Andrew Tiernan as 'Ephialtes' and Andrew Pleavin as 'Daxos'. The film is a 'sidequel' to the 2007 global blockbuster phenomenon and the events in this movie take place parallel to those in the earlier film.
300: Rise Of An Empire has an official release date of 2nd August 2013.
