Another New Image From The Mortal Kombat Web-Series

Director Kevin Tancharoen has been updating his Twitter quite a bit this past week and so far has given us 2 amazing pictures from his upcoming web-series. His latest picture offers us a slightly better look at Scorpion...

Filming for Kevin's 'Mortal Kombat' web-series is currently underway in Vancouver, but Kevin has taken the time to update his Twitter feed yet again giving us another picture from the series. This photo gives us a slightly better look at Scorpion than we saw in the last one.
Jeri Ryan will reprise her role as Sonya Blade, and Michael Jai White will also return to the character of Jackson 'Jax' Briggs along with Darren Shahlavi as Kano, and Ian Anthony Dale is returning as Scorpion.

Kevin will be directing the 10 episode web-series and is also writing it alongside Todd Helbing, and Aaron Helbing.

Michael Jai White can play any role and has great action scenes.... Michael Jai White should be in Barrack Obama movie :)

albieg25, yeah I'd boycott the hell out of that, I don't like Bush, I don't like Obama either, he's not the Presidential messiah everyone thinks he is. Definitely funny to think about though.

Looks very good. Shame it won't follow the Rebirth short as think think it was promising, but being by the same director I have a good feeling about it. It does look good. Faithful to the essence of the games without the campiness of the original movies (of which only the first is enjoyable as a guilty pleasure).

@crazyray: Read the original press releases for this. WB has made it clear that it will be a tie-in with the new games as well as being about the games' universe. They however say that they are using his directing style from the short and since they said nothing about his story concepts ... That likely means it's the only thing from the short they are using.

its been confirmed for awhile its not following the Mortal Kombar Rebirth. this Mortal Kombat webseries is more with the MK video game story.

Looks like Scorpion may be one of the main guys in this series. Good stuff as he and Sub-Zero were always the best characters, screw Johnny Cage and Liu Kang.

Scorpion was always one of the main guys from back to the very first game alot of people dont realise that. Liu Kang is the chosen one so u still need him no matter what.

I knew that dude would do this franchise justice. Obviously the ninja here is ground-based as a traditional ninja without the extra flashy armor and stuff from the more recent games. People need to rest assured that this series will flourish.
