Avengers Infinity War has finally released world wide and has been making the rounds here in Australia for a few days. We've both seen it a couple of times now and felt the need to delve a bit deeper into WHAT IN THE HELL JUST HAPPENED! Infinity War was deep, action packed and emotionally draining and at the end of its 2.5 hours run time you are left speechless and exhausted. Where will the MCU go from here is honestly anyones guess. That said we have looked at everything Infinity War had to offer and have laid it all out here in this video. I'm not going to go into much detail here in this post just in case someone clicks this accidently (would hate to spoil it for someone who hasn't seen it after all!)

That said, here is our SPOILER TALK VIDEO. Come and join the conversation!

@bathawk7 - I did not think about that. Strange definitely saw something in those 127mill realities to make him give Thanos the time stone. Damn now it’s the wait for avengers 4!😭😭😭

sickboy76 - 4/27/2018, 1:41 AM
@RealTalk - I think giving him time stone was the only way some of them survived to fight another day. Thanos would have killed everyone to get them otherwise.
RealTalk
RealTalk - 4/27/2018, 2:05 AM
@sickboy76 - or yeah it could have been that. He didn’t do it because he saw it but he just wanted as many of them to survive and that gave them a better chance. Also it was 14mill visions not 127. My bad.

sickboy76 - 4/27/2018, 2:25 AM
@RealTalk - maybe that was the vision he saw that half had to sacrifice themselves to win the war. Said the same thing in civil war, some of us have to lose so we can win

@bathawk7 - all throughout the movie I felt like I was watching Marvel's version of a Lord of the Rings movie, and I mean that in a good way.

i liked it but it felt nothing different from others cbm i mean the ending would have been better if they killed off heroes we know don't have sequels and the 'War' didn't last long...

It's definitely the ballsiest movie they've made. To me, whether or not we know there are sequels coming for certain heroes doesn't really negate the ending of this movie. They ended it with Thanos winning; that's the bottom line. I'd also say this didn't feel like half a movie to me. It was movie with an unhappy ending, sure, but it was a full story. I liken this to Empire Strikes Back in that regard. In fact, if you ignored Age of Ultron, I could almost see Avengers 1, 3, and 4 as it's own thing.

That isn't to say this movie is perfect. My full judgment of this movie is somewhat dependent on the next one. But IMO the good far outweighs any defects.

@beane2099 - I thought the same thing. Very empire strikes back

Things that left my mind blown: The Red Skull; the Rapture; Thanos being a real character; Iron Man and/or Cap not dying; Thor saving the day; Is the Hulk scared? is that why he won't come out to play?
KungFuKoala
KungFuKoala - 4/27/2018, 4:25 AM
@Tighelander - Yeah I read it as Hulk being utterly scared of Thanos after their fight

2 times the theater clapped: Cap's first appearance and Thor showing up in the final battle.
And one dude tried to clap when Widow stopped Proxima from killing Wanda in Wakanda.

Everybody wowed at Red Skull and nobody knew how to react by the end of the movie.
Vigor

@Jaspion - that's precisely how my theatre reacted to all those events

If Thanos is resigned to the simple Farmer Thanos life now that he's eradicated half of all life in the universe, what is the "threat" of Avengers 4?

I always assumed Thanos would remain the primary antagonist, but now I think there may be another threat that rises up after all this chaos.

Don't get me wrong; the main goal is still reversing the snap, but I think there are other forces at work in Avengers 4.
Scarilian
Scarilian - 4/27/2018, 6:44 AM
@PsychoticSpaceRaccoon -
"what is the "threat" of Avengers 4?"

Half the universe is effectively gone;
- With no Xandar and Guardians, the cosmic realm has no Nova Force to defend it
- With no Asgardians, the nine realms are going to fall into chaos
- With no Sorcerer Supreme, the Earth and other areas are open to attack from magical methods

Plus the Avengers themselves are weakened heavily - most of the strongest Avengers are dead or stranded.

Honestly, a rather basic entry-level threat would be enough to challenge them. I think the post-credit scene teased the idea of more Chitauri/Outrider/Necrocraft heading towards New York and other locations so perhaps they will all just be enslaved or oppressed and have to rise-up and change things back somehow.

Most logical threat would therefore be a continuation of the Captain Marvel villains - the Skrulls - who could easily replace some of the people who are missing, such as Hawkeye who never appeared and who may appear in a different persona when we see him in Avengers 4.

@Scarilian - Avengers: Not-so-Secret Invasion confirmed.

I can't believe the mad-men did it... they showed the snap on IMAX theater screens. I don't think anything will ever top that silence. The entire audience was cheering and going nuts for 2 hours but the last 15 minutes were in complete silence.
Thecondor14

When people started disintegrating my theatre went silent from shock. Then as more started to go you could here people yelling no. Especially when Panther and Spider-Man went.

Dr Strange said that they won in ONE of those alternate futures that he saw... so my guess is, that ONE time out of 14 million visions.. dr strange saw Captain Marvel finally showing up and beating Thanos 💯🤫🤫 because the Rapture made Nick Fury call her to help the universe and humanity

Watch and see.. lol
Deonox
Deonox - 4/27/2018, 9:09 PM
@BruceBanner100 - someone mentioned earlier that this was the best outcome because this way half the Avengers live to fight another day. If Strange didn't give him the time stone, then all the Avengers would've died anyways, and there would be no hope
BruceBanner100
BruceBanner100 - 4/27/2018, 3:20 PM
Oh, and about Vision.. 😢... lol... all they have to do is get the mind stone back, and have Shuri redesign the vision... OR!... Shuri can find another way to bring back Jarvis as an Android ..

It’s that simple

Saw it again today. I wish the sequel was coming in six months, but I guess they need a couple of movies to set it up. When does the next Ant-Man movie take place? before or after the snap?
