Showbiz 411 confirms that 'Adele' will compose and perform the theme for Skyfall and that it will rather appropriately be called, "Skyfall". The single will be featured on her upcoming album after the last one - "21" - sold over 22 million copies worldwide. Singing a theme for the 23rd James Bond film means that the British singer joins the likes of Shirley Bassey, Paul McCartney and Madonna, all of whom have contributed their own iconic takes on the Ian Fleming creation in song. There's obviously no preview available at this point, but you can check out one of the tunes that 'Adele' is best know for below.

Daniel Craig is back as James Bond 007 in Skyfall, the 23rd adventure in the longest-running film franchise of all time. In Skyfall, Bond’s loyalty to M (Judi Dench) is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.

STARRING:

Daniel Craig as James Bond
Javier Bardem as ?????
Judi Dench as M
Ralph Fiennes as ?????
Albert Finney as ?????
Naomie Harris as Eve
Bérénice Marlohe as Sévérine
Ben Whishaw as Q

RELEASE DATE: October 26th, 2012 (UK) November 9th, 2012 (US)

Casino royale, goldeneye, and thunderball had the best theme songs. Live and let die was a great song, but not for a bond movie.

Adele is a fat yet clean Winehouse knockoff for prudes. And her 'great voice' sounds eerily similar to Pink, at best. And I don't hear anyone making a big deal about Pink.
At least she's in shape, and doesn't rip-off G.Barkley for song arrangements.

^That creature has no business singing a Bond theme. I have to agree with Grif and others that A View to a Kill is the best Bond theme. I would have preferred that Duran Duran do the theme, but Adele is good too.

why all the hate against big girls?
i happpen to think big girls are sexy and i would [frick] adele if given the chance. i also like kelly clarkson, even if she is a lesbian, she doesn't have to like dudes for me to find her sexy

She will make an amazing Bond theme song.

My favortie Bond theme songs:

-Goldeneye
-Live and Let Die
-Casino Royale
-License to Kill
-Thunderball
-OHMSS(no vocals)
-Diamonds are Forever

@cipher That was a fantastic theme song. My favorite Bond video game theme song would have to be this:

I enjoyed it way more than the QoS movie theme song. As much I love the singer's voice, her pipes don't compare to Joss Stone's.

BREAKING NEWS!!!

Adele has already won six grammys for her theme for Skyfall!

Don't get me wrong she is a good singer but it feels like the industry pushes for certain singers to be successful regardless of their merit. Justin Bieber and Tayor Swift come to mind. They will win regardless.

Shirley Bassey is still the best at singing Bond songs. The most recent Bond songs were not great because they tried to be hip and stylish instead of...timeless.

Finally...I can see it crystal clear.

In all seriousness; yeah, I love her voice, and she can perfectly suit a Bond theme. That also makes Craig's era to have the best theme songs line-up, to me: Chris Cornell, Jack White, and now, Adele.

TheOneAboveAll: Thank you for mentioning Imogen Heap, among others in that list. One of the truest artists today, who definitely needs a lot more recognition.

I'm looking forward to this movie so much.

It's funny that there is bond news 2day, in my math class we were given a test by the state that did not affect our grades in any way (don't ask me why) and I just put 007 as the answer to almost each question :)
