D.J. Caruso In Talks To Direct G.I. JOE 3; Threequel Set To Revolve Around The Rock
Well, not The Rock as such, but the character played by Dwayne Johnson in G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Roadblock! Anyway, it now appears as if D.J. Caruso (Disturbia) is being enlisted to helm the threequel. Hit the jump for details on the sequel and where the deal stands...
It's been quite some since we've heard anything about the follow-up to Jon M. Chu's G.I. Joe: Retaliation, but it now appears as if Paramount Pictures are finally taking aim at a director. D.J. Caruso (Eagle Eye) has entered talks to helm the threequel which will put the spotlight on Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's Roadblock character. Green Lantern director Martin Campbell was named as being in the running last year, but those talks apparently amounted to nothing. Caruso also directed I Am Number Four and is currently shooting the Wentworth Miller penned The Disappointments Room starring Kate Beckinsale. Do you guys think he would be a good fit for the franchise?
