Variety reports that Elizabeth Debicki (who impressed critics as 'Jordan Baker' in Baz Luhrmann's recent remake of The Great Gatsby) is set to join the cast of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. as, "some sort of femme fatale role." As vague as this description is, it's set to be a major role in the movie after the studio even considered even higher profile actresses like Rose Byrne and Charlize Theron before deciding that it was Debicki who was right for the film. The Man From U.N.C.L.E. will be directed by Guy Ritchie and is set to start shooting in London and Italy this Fall. Henry Cavill is set to play 'Napoleon Solo', while Armie Hammer will take on the role of 'Illya Kuryakin'.

Excited to see what Ritchie does with this, I used to watch reruns of the old tv series and it was a quirky James Bond/Mission Impossible mashup. We know he dialogue and action will be cracking, interested to see Cavill and Hammer's on screen chemistry too if he is going to be Bats. And we need to see a lighter side of Cavill after his stone faced MOS/Immortals/Cold Light.

Also why has \Ritchie not been offered any CBM yet? He had a rough few yrs but since he's divorced Skeletor and made Sherlock that has proven his franchise/genre ability and both of them made a tonne of money. Like to see him get a shot at something violent and gritty, with a sense of humour like Deadpool or Flash.

I feel sorry for Armie Hammer, his career took a major hit with The Lone Ranger. It will take another major movie to change the situation for him.

I'm really excited for this movie to finally get made. Always have been a fan of the show. I have the Time/Life Complete series on DVD.

I'm will keeping my fingers crossed that this will turn out good. At least they are keeping it in the 60s.
