From Kitty Pryde to Tara Chase -- it seems Ellen Page will get her spy on as the protagonist of Queen And Country for Fox after she's reprised her Mutant role for Bryan Singer's X-flick. According to Variety the studio has been looking for a franchise for the young actress for a while now, and this has the potential set Page up as a sort of female Jason Bourne. I'm not familiar with Greg Rucka's comic series (which is set in the modern world of Britain's MI6), but I'm hearing that Page is seen as quite a strange choice to play the tough-as-nails Chase..though I would steer anyone thinking that to her work in Hard Candy! Peter Chernin is producing through his Chernin Entertainment banner, along with Jenno Topping. John Rogers is writing the script.
