I'm afraid that these new Die Hard movies are just becoming parodies of the original.

I will watch because I love DH, but since when does Mclane travel to go looking for this stuff? I get that he's goin after his kid but the whole point is that he just gets caught up in this stuff and has to figure a way out and blow stuff up along the way.

DH 2 where he stabs that dude with the icicle is still one of the best kill scenes.

They should have stopped with ''Die hard with a Vengeance'' Which was a damn good sequel.

I just recently saw the 4th installment, which was okay.. I'll watch this but not in theater's.

Love it, can't wait... question tho for you guys .. in the first one, when the jerk reporter goes to the McClane house... isn't Lucy shown as a special needs child? I vaguely remember a son, but seem to recall her being interviewed and maybe having Down's Syndrome... or am i high on whiteout?
NovemberGrey
NovemberGrey - 10/25/2012, 11:49 AM
The first film is probably the best action film ever made, and I get that it has become pretty ridiculous at this point, but I really don't care. I love em all. John McClain is my favorite character to grace the big screen, and as long as they're entertaining and have a good albeit stupidly unbelievable story, I'll be there opening day.

I still stand by my point that they need to do Die Hard cross overs.

Anyone putting this down is simply no fun. This looks like a blast. I'd like to take it out behind the Jr High and get it pregnant.

Are we looking at a PG-13 or an R-rating here?
To be honest, and I know I'm gonna get ridiculed for saying this, but I'd rather it be PG-13. I know the first three were R, but when a movie tries to force an R rating, the movie ends up lacking in everything except excessive language and sex. I'd rather see tons of PG-13 violence that will hit a wider audience then a bunch of R-rated violence that will be way more over the top than an R-rated 80's film and hit a smaller audience. Also, excessive swearing is distracting from a movie. I know its realistic because people swear all the time, but seriously, look at District 9. Watch the unedited version. Then watch a version with the language edited out. The latter is much better.

I can't believe there are people saying how lame this and the poster are. Die Hard isn't suppose to be taken seriously, so if you cant' appreciate the humour behind it don't bother everyone with your opinion
