With coronavirus spreading around the globe, events like SXSW and Emerald City Comic-Con are being postponed or cancelled, while big budget blockbusters like No Time to Die and Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway have been pushed back by several months to avoid disaster at the box office.

Depending on how things play out over the coming weeks, there's a lot of concern about upcoming releases like Black Widow and F9, but Vin Diesel has now assured fans the latter won't be delayed.

"Let me put it to you this way: 'Bloodshot' at the end of the day is a soldier and a soldier doesn't decide or pick when or where he's deployed. We're going to go in," he confirmed in an interview with USA Today. Adding that he understands why people are surprised that some movies won't be moving, the actor added that he believes "we need movies now more than ever."

"We're already in a very interesting time where cinema and the cinematic experience is so threatened,"
he continued. "So, yes, put it on record we're going to show up."

This is good news for fans of the franchise and some much-needed entertainment when we need it.

The absolutely bonkers first trailer was well-received by fans, and features returning favourites like Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris"  Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Anna Sawai. John Cena is playing both Diesel's brother and F9's villain, while the likes of Michael Rooker, Helen Mirren, and Charlize Theron are all also set to appear.

F9: The Fast Saga is set to arrive in theaters on May 22nd this year, while the tenth movie will land on April 2nd, 2021. Justin Lin is returning to direct both instalments.

Yes...because the actor in the movie has a say in the release date being pushed back or not.

Vin I love ya, but you really are dumb sometimes.

In a way he does have a point, to not let the paranoia reign over you.

I'm a bit more interested in F9 due to the history and the characters though.
