First Official Look At 3 Of Quentin Tarantino's THE HATEFUL EIGHT

Tarantino's new movie doesn't have a tie-in comic yet but considering we got one for Django Unchained, it's probably only a matter of time. Either way something new from this director should interest the majority of CBMers, so click on to check out the first image from the film...

This week's EW cover features our first look at 3 of Quentin Tarantino's Hateful Eight: Samuel L. Jackson as bounty hunter Major Marquis Warren, Jennifer Jason Leigh as vicious criminal Daisy Domergue, and Kurt Russell as another bounty hunter who's been charged with bringing her to justice, John “The Hangman” Ruth. Michael Madsen, Tim Roth, Bruce Dern, Walton Goggins, and Demián Bichir make up the rest of the eight but we've yet to get a glimpse of them.

There aren't too many accompanying details, but we do also have this quote from the director. "For me it has more of a Western Iceman Cometh kind of vibe about it. A bunch of guys in a room who can’t trust each other," Tarantino explained to Entertainment Weekly. "That wasn’t a marching order when I sat down to write the script, but pretty quickly I realized this is kind of a nice coming-full-circle." The Hateful Eight should be with us November 18.

I'd sat throw Val Kilmer in this to play Doc Holliday again but he looks like Jabba the Hutt.

The first draft of this movie's script was one of the worst things I've ever read.

"O.B.’s POV:
What O.B. see’s on the road is a BLACK MAN in the middle of it, sitting on a nice leather saddle, laid on top of THREE FROZEN DEAD WHITE MEN, smoking a pipe) the Black Man, not the three dead white guys).
"

That is a paragraph from page two. The rest of the script reads more or less the same way.

If Tarantino's got such a hard on for the Western genre , I'd like to see him tackle Jonah Hex.

Where Django was entertaining, it was about as historically accurate as Billy the Kid Vs. Dracula. I'm expecting the same here.
