Henry Cavill seems to be having a blast since leaving the role of Superman behind.

The Man of Steel star has Argylle hitting theaters this weekend, and the first trailer for Guy Ritchie's (The Gentlemen, Snatch, Aladdin) latest action flick, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, is now online.

Based on a true story (believe it or not), the movie is an adaptation of the book The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare: How Churchill’s Secret Warriors Set Europe Ablaze and Gave Birth to Modern Black Ops (we get why they shortened the title) by Damien Lewis.

The story focuses on the formation of the first-ever special forces organization during WWII, as a top-secret combat unit comprised of a group of "bad people" embark on a mission to take the fight to the Nazis... utilizing any and all dirty tactics to get the job done.

Henry Cavill leads the team, which also includes Eiza González, Alan Ritchson, Alex Pettyfer, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Babs Olusamokun, Henrique Zaga, Til Schweiger, Henry Golding, and Cary Elwes.

Check out the trailer below, and let us know what you think in the comments section.

Based upon recently declassified files of the British War Department and inspired by true events, THE MINISTRY OF UNGENTLEMANLY WARFARE is an action-comedy that tells the story of the first-ever special forces organization formed during WWII by UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill and a small group of military officials including author Ian Fleming. The top-secret combat unit, composed of a motley crew of rogues and mavericks, goes on a daring mission against the Nazis using entirely unconventional and utterly “ungentlemanly” fighting techniques. Ultimately their audacious approach changed the course of the war and laid the foundation for the British SAS and modern Black Ops warfare.

Directed and co-written for the screen by Guy Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes, The Gentlemen, Wrath of Man), and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer (Top Gun: Maverick, Pirates of the Caribbean, National Treasure), THE MINISTRY OF UNGENTLEMANLY WARFARE stars Henry Cavill (Man of Steel, Mission: Impossible – Fallout), Eiza González (Baby Driver), Alan Ritchson (TV’s Reacher), Alex Pettyfer (In Time), Hero Fiennes Tiffin (After series), Babs Olusamokun (Dune), Henrique Zaga (Beyond the Universe), Til Schweiger (Inglourious Basterds), with Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians) and Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride).

Lionsgate presents, in association with Black Bear, a Jerry Bruckheimer Films / Toff Guy production. Screenplay by Paul Tamasy & Eric Johnson and Arash Amel & Guy Ritchie. Directed by Guy Ritchie.

TMOUW is set to hit theaters on April 19.

Looks fun!!.

It’s nice to see Cavill also play something slightly different this time as somewhat of a maniac it seems lol…

Also bless Reacher for giving Alan Ritchson the opportunity to be in these blockbusters now.

@TheVisionary25 - Cavill looks like he's having so much fun in this role, I love it. Like you said it's nice to see him get to play a different kind of character for a change.

Could this be the beginning of a new partnership with Guy Ritchie? Here's hoping!

@GhostDog - you watch the latest Reacher season ?

I liked it but I think S1 was better…

This felt a bit more generic though i like the dynamic he had with his team.

@TheVisionary25 - I think the 1st Season edges out Season 2 because it was a whodunit kind of storyline whereas S2 was more about whether someone in Reacher's team had gone rogue or not, both mysteries are solved at the final episode of the respective storyline.

@TheVisionary25 - I agree season one was better, but I still enjoyed the shit out of season 2. It's not a great show, but damn if it isn't entertaining as hell. Every once in a while. While I love a good old-fashioned macho actioner

@NinnesMBC - I agree. I will say I did think the finally was better in S2. S1 finally was weak to me. Also I respect Ritchson's respect for the character but I think he looked better in S1. He looked a bit too big imo. Like it was hard for him to move

I don't think ive seen Cavill laugh out loud (even if it's mocking) in anything before. Hopefully this finally gives him a chance to show off some talent?

I'm sure this is going to restart all that Bond talk aswell (Or maybe Argylle has kicked that off already) but he was a close second to Craig's casting so who knows. He's got about 3 or 4 appearances in him if they offer it to him.

I'll be there day one, this looks very fun.

Nice to see that Alan Ritchson is there too, seriously thinking of getting the Persuader book to be ready for Reacher Season 3 when it comes out whenever that is.

@NinnesMBC - Ritchson has been grinding! Putting in so much work. I rememeber tuning in for his debut as Aquaman, well AC, in Smallville season 5 and also being bummed they didn't cast him in Mercy Reef, which was. Good thing in the end as it didn't even survive past the pilot.

Reacher is the perfect vehicle for him, but i must say i wasn't a fan of season 2's finale, everything else though has been great! Only way is up for him right now.
