I keep hoping that maybe, if we’re all very still and very quiet, George Lucas will forget that Indiana Jones 4 made a lot of money and abandon his plans to make a fifth one. So far, that strategy isn’t working but if you’re with me, you might want to plug your ears, close your eyes, and click over to some other story… just to let Lucas know you mean business.

George Lucas is apparently still hard at work on Indiana Jones 5 plans and what’s more Harrison Ford says that they’re all “very interested in making another.” Et tu Steven Spielberg? Ford drops hints about what Lucas might be up to in an interview with MTV where when addressing what he calls Lucas’ “outrageous” idea for the sequel he says, “Some of the best ideas are crazy ideas, you know? Well-wrought, well-manipulated.” And some of the worst ideas are crazy ideas too. Like that crazy idea Lucas had for the last movie, you know the one with the nuke-proof fridge and those horrible aliens? I think we’ve had enough of George’s “crazy ideas”, haven’t we?

But the thing Ford seems most excited about is advancing the character forward. I’m not sure what the next step is for Indy, I mean all that’s really left is death isn’t it? But he says, “I think it would be interesting to deepen the relationship between he and his son [Mutt, played by Shia LaBeouf] and play on that relationship. ... It's full of opportunity. The series is full of opportunity.” Sounds like it’s full of more pain and suffering for Indiana Jones fans, to me.
