J-MAN and Johnny Love Movie Review: The A-Team

Johnny Love went MIA while searching for his kitchen pass and J-Briggs was cool enough to lend us his view on Hollywood's most recent remake.

If you have not seen The A-Team then you should. It is worth the price of admission.

Many thanks goes out to the good people at The Portage 16 IMAX Theater in Portage IN.

Iron Man 2 is still sitting at the front of the class for best movie of 2010, but The A-Team moved right up into second place. See you next week when we review Jonah Hex!

I see this in a couple of days. Sounds good!

But I have to say The Karate Kid was great. It paid homeage to the original. Awsome fight scenes. Funny & Jackie did a great job. He really went all out on this one. U never seen this side to Jackie before. 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!

@Spock I couldn't agree more, everyone was bashing the new karate kid like it was the devil. Now they will be put in their place. Haven't seen it yet but I sure am looking forward to it!

I went into the A-Team with zero expectation and ended up liking it a lot. Well worth checking out. In fact, I'd even kind of like to see a sequel. I even like "Rampage" Jackson who I really went in thinking I was going to hate the most. What can I say, sometimes it feels good to be proved wrong.

Great review, but I beg to differ on Ironman 2 being the best of the year. For my money Shutter island was far superior to Iron man in every way, shape and form.

I cant view the video at work so ill just toss my two cents. This movie was fun and entertaining. It had action and comedy and it both mixed in really well. I think they did great at updating this movie to our times yet still did the tv series justice. Acting was great and chemistry from all the actors seem to gel really well. I really liked this movie.

p.s. In the future could yall add a quick paragraph of what is said in video review and what your ultimate consensus is for those of us who cant watch?

I grew up watching the A-Team, so I need to see this one. Couldn't agree more that Shutter Island was a big disappointment.

-I LOVED THE MOVIE, IT WAS CURRENT AND WASN'T SOME REHASHED TYPE DEAL THAT HOLLYWOOD USUALLY DOES, IT DOES THE OLD SHOW JUSTICE..

-THE COOL THING IS THEY BRING YOU TO THAT ORIGIN AND THE PLAY BY PLAY THAT LEADS YOU TO THE TITLE NARRATED EVERY A-TEAM SHOW..THE SHOW BACK IN THE DAY WAS COOL, I LIKE HOW THIS MOVIE FLESHES OUT THE WHAT HAPPENED THAT LEAD TO THE TEAM WE ALL KNEW ON A SHOW TO SHOW BASIS..

THIS MOVIE WAS PRETTY COOL AND IT SUPRISED ME BECAUSE I WALKED IN THINKING,"HOW ARE THEY GOING TO RUIN MY CHILDHOOD?" AND GUESS WHAT I WAS PLEASANTLY SUPRISED..GOOD JOB AND I WOULD LOVE..LOVE TO SEE A SEQUEL, BECAUSE AFTER HOW THE END SET UP THE MERCENARIES FOR HIRE SCENARIO, IT CAN ONLY GET WAAAAY BETTER.

I agree. This movie was damn good. I was very worried they'd ruin it from start to finish, especially rampage because in his interview he sounds like he outright hated the process. And Sharlto Copley, i was worried about cause he hasn't had much work, but damn right i was wrong again, this guys a real deal with two movies under his belt and both big and good movies. Here's hoping they do a second one and here's hoping it's the same A-Team is in this one.

P.S. Love the review :^)

Do they actually kill people in this movie?
After the first season of A-team I stopped watching it realizing it was really stupid all that fire power an no one getting killed or seriously injured..... these supposedly former special forces agents were just as lousy shots as the villians they faced.......
a dvd in the waiting..........

I had ve4ry low expectations for this movie ... but I really liked it. A couple of Over the Top kinda action moments which weren't neccessary but it didn't ruin the movie. I thought the movie depended on how well Murdock and BA were ... and to me BA was done pretty well and Murdock was hit way out of the park. A sequel would be fine by me.

i didnt know what to expect either, but enjoyed it... some of the dialogue seemed like it was adlibbed and they seemed to enjoy playing off each other which always helps... Rampage did remind me of Mr T (which i am 100% sure was a better casting than whoever the rapper was that the studio wanted)

Started off kinda lame, but I got into the story. It wasn't bad.
