After announcing that they would be hosting a panel at New York Comic Con next month, Amazon has confirmed that the first official trailer for their upcoming series Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan will also debut during the event, which should be welcome news for fans of the classic character.

Amazon has been releasing brief teasers for the upcoming first season all summer, but this is arguably the most intriguing one yet as we follow the journey of a mysterious $10 bill with a smiley face drawn on, as it leaves the hands of a young girl and eventually ends up in the hands of terrorists. The nearly one-minute teaser also confirms that the trailer will indeed arrive at next month's NYCC panel where stars John Krasinski, Wendell Pierce, and Abbie Cornish will be in attendance alongside series co-creator Carlton Cuse.

Check out the trailer sneak peek below and be sure to check in on October 7 for the full-length trailer debut:

When CIA analyst Jack Ryan stumbles upon a suspicious series of bank transfers his search for answers pulls him from the safety of his desk job and catapults him into a deadly game of cat and mouse throughout Europe and the Middle East, with a rising terrorist figurehead preparing for a massive attack against the US and her allies.

Awesome trailer. I always found it fascinating how currency moves through history, through different lives. Who knows where all the places this dime in my wallet from 1987 has been?

Love Big Tuna and can't wait to see his take on Jack Ryan. Was shocked with his performance in 13 hours so hoping for more of that. Also, I binge watch the office every year. Suck it haters

John was great in 13 Hours and I can't wait to see him in this show.

On a different topic, WB needs to get him for Hal Jordan and his wife Emily Blunt for Carrel Ferris.

Definitely excited for this. Always thought it would work well in a series, and Krasinski really sold that badass in 13 hours.

Also, am I the only one who kind of enjoyed Shadow Recruit with Chris Pine? Thought it was pretty solid and liked the chemistry between Pine, Knightley, and Costner.

@Menks123 - I liked Shadow Recruit although I can't help but think it should've been about Jack Ryan Jr like the latest books have been. Harrison Ford playing Jack Ryan and Chris Pine playing Jr. Would've been good.

I'd also like to see Christian Bale or Liam Neeson play John Clark.

He was a part of one of the greatest comedy series of all-time. I NEVER thought Krasinski could pull off a serious character after seeing him for so many years with that dry, goofy Jim humor. But he really surprised me in 13 Hours.

I'll be tuning in to this series for sure.

I for one am hyped for this

I hope to see John in super hero roll at one point in his career as well, hopefully with a bit of bling...
