Deadline is reporting that early tracking is projecting a gargantuan opening for Lionsgate's highly anticipated John Wick: Chapter 4, estimating a potential franchise-best launch in the $60 million to $70 million range over the March 24 weekend.
While these are just early estimates, the fourth installment is currently on track for the second-largest opening weekend of 2023, behind only Marvel Studios' Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania ($106.1M), and is pacing to top the $56.8 million opening of John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum in 2019.
With a 169-minute runtime, the Chad Stahelski-directed Chapter 4 is the longest film in the franchise and should be one of the most action-packed thrill rides of the year, as Keanu Reeves reprises his role as the fan-favorite Baba Yaga.

Joining Reeves for his fourth tour are Donnie Yen (Caine), Bill Skarsgård (The Marquis de Gramont), Laurence Fishburne (The Bowery King), Hiroyuki Sanada (Shimazu), Shamier Anderson (The Tracker), Lance Reddick (Charon), Rina Sawayama (Akira), Scott Adkins (Killa), Clancy Brown (The Harbinger), Natalia Tena, Marko Zaror, George Georgiou (The Elder), and Ian McShane (Winston Scott).
Chad Stahelski returns to the director's chair, this time utilizing a screenplay from Shay Hatten and Michael Finch. Stahelski co-directed the first installment with David Leitch but was the sole director on both Chapter 2 and Chapter 3.
