Kelsey Grammer Is The Latest Addition To The Cast Of THE EXPENDABLES 3

Nicolas Cage won't be in The Expendables 3, but his role - a character called 'Bonaparte' who is apparently, "an ex-mercenary who helps the Expendables in their mission" - has been taken by Transformers: Age of Extinction star Kelsey Grammer. He's now said to be closing in on a deal to join a cast which includes Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Terry Crews, Antonio Banderas, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren and Wesley Snipes. This is yet another very different type of role for the actor who was previously best known for playing Frasier Crane in the beloved sitcom Frasier. What do you guys think about this?

The role of Frasier Crane originally appeared in "Cheers" before spinning off into Frasier. Good shows!

Nothing like the crappy Dramedies you have these days. The last great one was Scrubs. Now it's all overly in your face crap like "How i met your mother" or stupid slapstick like Community. Bleh.

I'm a massive Grammer fan. from Cheers, to Frasier, to Christmas Carol, Mr. St. Nick anything this bloke does i watch no matter what. dont know why and him being in Ex3 is something that will sell this film to me either more. all i need to have added to it now is Nic Cage, and Kurt Russel.

(Ex3 is what i've been calling the films since Ex2. hope it catches on)

Maybe he can bring a touch of class to the 3rd movie, kind of like what Mickey Rourke did with the 1st movie.

I'm calling it: There's a musical number in Expendables 3...lol
I love this news, Grammer is an amazing actor and I can really see him as one of the baddies in this movie, too bad he'll be a good guy...or will he? =)

I agree that there are waaayyy too many Expendable characters and not enough bad guys. They should have lived up to the name and actually made a few of them expendable.

This was suppose to be over the top cool. Instead it turned into over the top corney.

Speaking of Over the top I'm suprised Sly hasn't done a sequel for that yet

Grammar is cool and all, but he really doesn't really fit into the action star premise these films are supposed to be based on.

Grammer is awesome but is he action star?

I thought the basic reason for making these movies was to bring together former action heroes.

Where is Dudikoff, Michael Pare, Kurt Russell, Christopher Lambert, Michael Biehn, Sho Kosugi or hell even Charlie Sheen.

This is good news in my opinion. I'm not a huge Nick cage fan. But that's not to say seeing Nick Cage in the sequel wouldn't be fun to watch. Either way having Kelsey Kramer is a nice addition to the cast. I'm sure he will be entertaining. The rest of the cast is shaping up nicely. The only guy who is missing in these movies is Steven Seagal. Can't wait for the follow up. Looking forward to Expendables 3.

I like Grammar, but I thought these movies were for action stars. Add Frasier... wtf? But, I'm sure he'll be enjoyable.
